This is the 8th month of 2021. This Picks contest ends on the eighth day of the 8th month. All this means is a profile picture change for me. Trying to snag a bit of luck for the cause. I also wanted a new look for when we jump over to the G1 Channel.

The 8's are with me this week so it came to me to select the North Carolina kid. Wake Forest's and Quail Hollow's own Webb Simpson. Native of over by NCL in Raleigh. He has had a pretty solid year, and Memphis is not that far from Charlotte. 

 C'mon wiry dude, snag me a 1st for our finale !  Cranking out the Simpsons now aren't ya? 😀

This picture was taken during our last summer at the cottage in 1975. I was getting better at sailing the Banshee at this point, and I was getting better at making out with a girl.

As demand increased he subcontracted construction to other companies. The first 15 years of my life living in the Great Lake State were mighty special. I experienced a whole lot of outdoor fun and have oodles of fine memories from my youth. I wouldn't trade growing up in Michigan at the time that I did for any other state in America.

So I have the week off and have yet to tee it up. My round at CCA got rained out today but I have 3 other tee times set for the week and the weather forecast  is decent.

 

I did something today that I haven't done in 16 months, I went into a movie theater. I was a very large fan of the man and his work.  I couldn't wait to see this film by acclaimed movie maker Morgan Neville.  Bourdain was a restaurant pro. He was a true romantic. He loved meeting new people and hearing their stories and asked them often heart felt questions. He enjoyed bars, funky energetic women, music, and drugs from time to time. He did not rush into starting a family. Chef knew the power of bringing folks together with great food and drink in a social setting. Anthony couldn't settle down as he was always on to the next adventure. He swore a ton. He was an exquisite story teller. He spoke up for the little people, and he cherished the immigrants that worked their tails off in the service industry. I have experienced much of the same in my nearly six decades. It was a marvelous film. I left the theater quite moved. I wish I could have shared some drinks and conversation with him. Chef Anthony had some serious charisma.

One of my fellas here better stand up and say he liked my creation of the final week Multiplier Play. I wanted very much to add some twist to our final week of the contest. 

I summoned back to my Vegas sports bettor days and added something different for our final week of prognosticating. 

Take a higher risk bet in an effort to win the damn entire contest is what I had envisioned. I sort of hope the winner of our contest predicts this week's winner with a 4 X's play. 

 

Our carrying on with the PGA Tour picks contest ever since the NFL weekly predictions ended back in February has proved to be a major success. We are a striving bunch it seems.
