Even if it's obvious, one must be very clear in declaring a provisional, which includes using the term "provisional". Saying "I'm going to hit another one" doesn't cut it. 

 

Apparently she played the original ball after finding it, and since the 2nd ball was automatically in play because it wasn't declared as a provisional she was assessed a two stroke penalty for playing the wrong ball.

 

Ouch.

OMG, that is the most important reminder for provisionals that every tournament playing pro/amateur must know/remember.  I get nightmares just thinking about it.  The last words before entering pre-shot must be "This is a provisional".

Brooke and Nelly renewed their battle for supremacy tomorrow, this time at a final group for a major.  It's only fitting the two best ball strikers are dueling it out.

Brooke beat Nelly and Minjee in the final group to win 2019 Lotte; she knows how it's done!

And the dueling has begun. Brooke and Nelly 2 birdies each  through the 4th hole.

Yep in N.O.  I live beside a lake so there's no municipal infrastructure where I live.

The one time I forget to bet on a major and I miss out. Probably would’ve put $25 each on Danielle Kang and Nelly, Nelly was 17/1 odds, would’ve netted $400. ?

I got Brooke at 35-1 and 1/4 payout if she's top 5.  I just grab it simply cause I haven't seen Brooke at those odds since she was a non-member trying to Monday qualify lol.

Is that a non-standard kind of contingency bet? I’ve mostly just been doing single outright winner and top 10/top 20 finishes.

I normally only take the outright winner but when the odd are over 25-1, I feel it's worth at that point adding the E/W cause the payout is still pretty good.

Is there a difference between an each way bet vs 2 separate bets for the player to win and top 5?

Korda runs a fairly straightforward 17 footer 6 feet by and announcer calls it a great putt because it grazed the edge.  I can do that all day long on any course, and usually do!

 

Now she makes the comebacker and it's a great two putt???  My idea of a great two putt is when the second is within the leather.
