Well the G425 has been eliminated and the C721 is in the bag. Very impressed with this driver and the sound it makes is just incredible.

I’m testing the c721 against the g425 lst. Both with a 60 gr smoke green tx shaft playing at 44.5 inches.  At the range, the c721 is straight and about 15 yards longer.  Hard to believe a driver could be straighter than the ping but c721 appears to be.  On course testing this week.

I don't need another driver, but for $239 I had to buy one to try.  All the reviews I've watched on the Tube seem to be very positive.  Should be fun.

I received my C721 yesterday. Taking it out on the course tomorrow, Wednesday.  They could've told me this driver was new and I would've believed them.  $239 is a steal.

A few more days and I'm still loving the C721 head! The Smoke Blue RDX has also grown on me but I'm going to have to make some changes to get my launch conditions to a healthier place. I'm currently launching the 9.5 head ~12.5 degrees with only about ~1900rpm of spin on average, and some spin rates drop down to scary low numbers that really drop out of the sky and hook left.

In order to get my spin up a little higher I'm trying to decide between 1) lofting up to the 10.5, 2) trying some higher launch/spin shafts, or 3) buying the heavier back-weight to increase launch/spin as well as MOI/forgiveness. Anyone been in a similar situation before and do you have any thoughts or experience to share on the effectiveness of each approach? I'll probably also post this in the WRX Club Techs forum and see if some folks over there have anything to say.

Wasn’t even in the market for one of these, but can’t imagine I’ll get through the day without ordering one off TEE pre-owned. I currently play a Ping g425 in 12* with the tensei AV orange raw 50-R shaft. Probably stick with same loft in the ventus red 50-r.

Thx Pixl, 400 Max just cracked and couldn’t resist the $120 pre-owned.  Trigger pulled on 10.5 w/ RDX Smoke Black 70 6.5.  Played the 9 degree 400 Max at 8 w/ Fuji Atmos Black TS 6X.  Theoretically the 721/RDX Black should be a flatter flight so gave room to loft up.  Look forward to trying her out.

Mine came in good condition last week! The head had some light scratch marks on the bottom that are clearly from hitting off of turf. Shaft and grip came in perfect condition. Overall happy with the condition it came in!

Some great prices on TE for preowned.  I've ordered lots of clubs from the website and always been pleased with preowned selections and their condition.  The C721 line (woods, hybrids, irons) are all in my bag and are very impressive.  I've tried the driver a few times with RDX blue shaft and returned it to TE.  Found the E722 driver to be a great fit for my speed with the Ventus Red (nonvelocore), but at the price, the C721, if I could get the spin up a bit, probably would be just as good.

Sorry to the poster above!  Received my $120 “pre-owned” C721 today with RDX Smoke Black 70 6.5 and the only blemish I can find anywhere is a barely visible cosmetic on the shaft near the grip.  Club looks brand new.  I look forward to trying her out tomorrow.

Mine looks very close to new.  9.5* RDX Blue 6.0.  Haven't been able to hit it yet, maybe the weather will cooperate next week.

FWIW Tour Edge offers a vet discount of 15%.  Mine was $102 so I had to add another club to cross the $150 free shipping barrier, lol.  They don't always upgrade to 2nd day shipping but it's happened out of the blue a few times since I crossed over to the TEE CPO from the other CPO.

So far so good with TEE.  The 30 day trial MONEY back (not just a credit) trial period is awesome.

Got the C721 w/ RDX Smoke Black 70 6.5 on the course for 36 today.  I don’t own a launch monitor and go off feel and seeing the trajectory I prefer.  Would love to do an outdoor fitting with gamer ball at some point.  However, the best takeaway from my one Club Champion fitting was I’m pretty adept at fitting myself within reason.

Normal gamer is Ping G400 Max 9 at 8 degrees with Fuji Atmos Black 6X (cracked).  While in limbo been hitting my Cobra Radspeed 3 wood on 13.5 with Fuji Atmos Blue 7x and a friends TSR 4 w/Mitsu Tensei 1K Black X.  Haven’t been on a monitor in a while but in the 105 to 110 CS range once loose.  Late release w/ heavy load so play X in hybrid and woods.  S300’s in irons because I’ve hit them for 30 years and am in tune with the profile.

Brand agnostic, play what works for me and am not a ho relative to the WRX crowd:). Driver was the 400 Max, 3 wood Cobra Radspeed, Hybrid Titleist H2, irons Srixon Z545, wedges Vega, and putter Machine.  Normal miss is a hook.

The hype is real!  C721 is a fukn awesome piece of tech.  Hit 8-10 on range set on 10.5 and knew right away she was good.  Off to course and first comment is I didn’t think a driver could be more forgiving than the 400 Max. I was wrong.  The C721 just wants to go to your target with a decent pass.  Hit a few at different locations on the face while on 10.5 and they still moved and came back to target like a video game.

Accuracy was fine at 10.5 but wanted to see a more piercing flight.  Dropped to 9.5 and slightly more upright and similar results.  Drop to 8.5 and bam, delivered the nice launch, planed out mid trajectory bullets I like to see.  Face set great with the 10.5 set on 8.5.  Whatever TEE did with the face roll/bulge, diamond face, and Ridgeback works for me.

Temp was 48 degrees and not much roll due to rain yesterday morning.  Caught a few that landed in good spots and rolled out to 280+, majority in the 265 range, significant misses 250 range and as mentioned, just came back to target on auto pilot.  Once I got it dialed on 8.5 it was go full throttle and pick up tee while still in air.  Look forward to a firm and fast day.

I like to hit driver off the deck at times so hit a few from fairway today.  A couple of dead straight lasers and nice squeeze cuts.  Have 2 holes on this course I like to tee driver low and hit a choke down stinger on and both did exactly what my mind envisioned.

Sound is awesome, a review stated similar to the crack of a wooden bat and I agree.  Just a really nice crack when pured and a less pronounced one when missed.  Coming from years of Ping I’m used to the heinous titanium ting.  I don’t like the carbon fiber thud.  The 721 is a nice balance between the titanium ting and carbon thud.

Overall, most impressed with the forgiveness that gives the confidence to just let it go.  Distance appears to be a little better than the Max and on par with TSR4.  Will see how that develops on a warmer and firmer day. Drove straight from course to grab a midsize grip and have already installed.  I will be ordering an adapter for my Fuji TS to try as well.  Fuji’s have always been better feeling than HZRDUS shafts for me.  The HZRDUS is not Small Batch and sticker under grip states, “made in China”.  No performance gripes, just a feel preference.

Longest review I have penned.  The price of clubs combined with aftermarket shafts has started to really annoy me.  Big up to TEE for delivering tech as good or better than the big box bullies at a more reasonable price point.  Prior to today, landing my 3 Vega wedges at $50/per on 2nd Swing was my favorite deal.  The C721 “Pre Owned” now holds the crown.

Really liking the HZRDUS black with head at 8.5 after the grip change and more reps.  Didn’t have my best today and had no fear with driver.

Honestly Walt you’ve used it more than I would have in a month haha. Glad it’s working out for you man
