Lajosi putters?

Anyone had experience with Lajosi putters?

 

Trying to get a putter exactly to my likings but can't seem to get one off the shelf.

 

Hence thinking of going custom made.

 

Any feedback or review will be appreciated.

Lots of info here especially later on about what he can do and his process. The one thing I've heard is he can take a while because putters are his weekend hobby and has a demanding day job.

Kari is extremely responsive via email and his work is superb. Custom putters do take time but worth the wait.

I have one. Very proud of it. Be precise with what you want. He can do anything. Supreme work.

Just went to his workshop today. He is fully committed to his business.

 

Takes 6 weeks from today if I were to order. Only about 35 mins away from my house so I went for a visit 🙂

Well lucky you on that being so close to him. I'm totally not jealous. 

 

Thats good he's focusing full time on putters now. Some of his work is amazing.

Got one mad by him and it turned out exactly as I wanted and I love it, plus the price is very good about half the cost compared to some others. My one piece of advice with any custom putter is to sketch out what you want and send it to them. That way nothing is lost in translation.

Word of caution: he doesn’t always deliver exactly on time. Mine came a little late and I have a buddy who’s also came a bit late. This could have had something to do with Covid though, so I can’t fault him. But, as people mentioned here, he does always deliver and his work is too notch. I recommend him and no doubt others do too.

Kari is supper responsive in email and very personable.  I have yet to do a custom with him, but would like to.  LaMont Mann, MannKrafted is also awesome to work with.  Any full custom is worth the wait, I just commissioned another Byron.

He got mine to me early and updated me after a few steps with photos! Very responsive via email and super nice guy!

I have three putters from Kari, all amazing. I met him few years ago in his workshop, great guy, awesome work. He makes his own Damascus for putters

Is a craftsman who makes a solid product for a fair price, love his stuff.

I have two and they are both great putters.  One, I bought on ebay on a whim.  DD201WB, which is basically a slightly wider Anser.  Was almost exactly what I wanted and used it for two years until I went directly to Kari and ordered a Sensor 2WB, basically a slightly wider Anser 2.  His wide putters are not like the odyssey double wide or cameron square backs.  Might be wider by 1/8 and inch.  Pictures of the one I custom ordered are attached.  Very few companies, off the rack, offer Anser 2 styles with top line sight lines/dots and almost all anser 2's have the cavity sight line, which is why I went the custom route.  

 

For around $500, or slightly less due to the exchange rate, you can get a fully custom putter that rolls as well as anything out there.  You can't really go wrong with this company.  Super nice guy to work with.  Yes, it takes time but the product is worth it.  

 

Will you be able to resell it for what you paid....most likely no.  They're not olsen, lamb, or cameron in name but the craftsmanship is on the same level and the are great putters to play.  They're really no nonsense putters meant to be used.  He's not interested in selling you $100 ball markers shaped like donuts or video games.  Nothing wrong with those companies and Kari will make what you want but his putters flat out work.  

 

I have more than a few putters but I really only use two.  This lajosi and a tp mills custom ming I got second hand.

I just ordered (2) putters from him, both carbon, Sensor and Mallet.  I can't wait to get them.  I also have (3) TP Mills and couple of LaMont's MannKrafted...and a Piretti to throw in the mix, and Custom Garage from Sean.  I am a little addicted.  I have a Byron or order but depending on how the Lajosi's come out, I might just have to cancel Byron.
