Just noticed So Yeon with the Titleist bag. That's new. Gotta find out what's in the bag.

Major bummer about In Gee.

Understandable given some of the fine specimens of manhood at the capstone of the golfing pyramid. Bryson could easily play leading man in Rom-Coms, and of course Adam Scott. Even fat Rory is pretty buff these days. I would question whether it's golf she's a fan of  or golfers.

Really surprised by the scores today. Despite the crummy weather yesterday, the scores appeared to be higher today. Best rounds were four -4s. The greens did seem to be firmer, no surprise.

Jin Young missed the cut at the last event, and this week it's Sei Young. Quite surprised. 'Nice birdie on the 18th by So Yeon to make the cut.

Nice to have Minjee back. Hopefully we'll see a few shots tomorrow.

Inbee is six strokes ahead of 6th place. This tournament could be down to the final two groups unless someone does something amazing tomorrow.

Oh In Gee... How does one forget to sign their scorecard? Not asking sarcastically, I really am curious. Especially for a pro it should be pretty high on your list of things to do, no? I know a few others have done the same, just seems odd.

I suppose I can assume when one does something hundreds of times, it becomes an action without much thought where you can easily slide right by.  Anyone know if that's in a caddy's acceptable expectations of "hey boss, did you, umm, you know, sign our paycheck...?" Either way I assume caddy gets paid for days worked, but 4 days better than 2, plus winnings lol

The caddies are not in the scoring tent. Once she steps outside, she can't go back in to sign the card. I have to assume that she had media waiting outside the scoring area, and she was in a rush to meet with them.

It's surprising how much activity there is just outside the tent at some venues.

I think maybe with Covid, they are restricting those in the scoring tent and the caddies aren't around to add input.

Yikes, poor Ingee, on the plus side it's usually a mistake you only make once.

Surely this is a ridiculous and inhuman regulation. All it needs is for the scoring official to take the card in the presence of the player and say "now please can you sign the card". Simple, job done. What if you went into a bank and wrote out a cash cheque to yourself, and the cashier said to you "You've not signed this. That will be a $500 dollar penalty we'll be taking off your account". Absurd.

Just shows that sadists are alive and well in the game of golf.

I too feel really badly for InGee ... she was a class act with it too.

Nonetheless, at least it was not a major championship.  I think to date this poor fella below had the worst scorecard mishap of all time. 👇👇  (1968 Masters & Roberto Di Vicenzo  and "what a stupid I am")

Scorecard controversy at 1968 Masters still haunts its champion Bob Goalby

Don't the players usually compares/cross-check the scores before submitting (make sure you don't sign for the wrong score)?  If so, I would think most players would usually ask the other(s) if they have signed.  Perhaps they were taking about Wie's baby, laughing at Wie's scorecard, etc and the unfortunate happened.

I worked in the scorer's tent when the WAPT played at our home course last year. One of the things I did was make sure everyone had signed their card and I would let them know before they ever left the scorer's tent.

Her par putt on 12 was huge after the miss on 11 and then the birdie on 13. And I agree about the two short par 4's. Not sure if I heard Judy correctly but I thought she said only two players didn't birdie 9 while the last group was walking to the green. But that must have been for a certain amount of groups.

Yeah, I think you're right. Looking at the players T28 or better, only 7 out of 33 outside the final group made par. The others made birdies or eagles. The final group went par, par, bogie.

BTW, I found the "Kia" scorecard from 2017. I played it in mid-February, a few weeks before the tournament. I recall #17 being a beast. The 15th was tough, too.

The scoring officials do try to check prior to the players leaving the tent and crossing the "line" where they can't go back and sign the card.   Right or wrong,  players get in a hurry and obviously leave without signing their card.   Having watched many players in the scoring tent,  some are in a hurry while others take their time.

Pre-Covid those in the tent were typically players, caddies, and walking scorer (in case questions arise).   Caddie's were occasionally calling out scores.

It was some weird number Judy used to illustrate her point, I think she said "of the 19 top players on the leaderboard, Kristen Gillman is the only one not to birdie #9"

Yeah, solid week and win by Inbee. Surprising to see that it's her first wire to wire win, but she never ceases to surprise. Gotta believe she'll keep playing until she surpasses Se Ri's record.

That said, I was quite disappointing in the play by the chasers. C'mon. Only one out of five players breaks par? Heck, three shot 75 or worse.

Nice round by Danielle before the 18th. Hopefully she gets that blow up hole out of her system before next week.

Jin Young looking great for next week.

I think Lexi will do well next week, but I'm not jumping on the bandwagon. Six reachable holes for the past two days skews the results. Mission Hills is not quite the pitch and putt they set up this weekend.

Very nice week for my pick Hyo Joo, but she didn't do much over the past three days.

Watch out for Amy next week. She's been solid in the majors, but can she get over the hump?

Nelly and Brooke both have work to do on their putting (as we know). Solid day both both, but they can't keep throwing away shots with missed short putts.
