Hope the mods do something to un-flag him.  What a bummer this happened... ALSO, the rules specifically state to NEVER pay with Zelle.  So if anyone is selling and asks to be paid that way, they have no business selling anything.

Just goes to show you there are rules for a reason. Doesn’t matter how long someone has been here, they could get hacked, or anything could go wrong. The payment method is there to protect the field.

Yep. Should be able to verify by seeing where the  IP address that changed  the password was located.  At least my work site can see IP address locations by country .  “ Marcus” is probably in another climate zone  from the victim.

No doubt.  And the demands to "trust me" in the other members post... who does that?!   Nothing says red flag like "you have to trust me!" Haha

What’s up guys - account restrictions finally lifted and I’m able to post.

 

For those of you I’ve dealt with before… thanks for the support and recognizing that it likely wasn’t me.  It’s cool to be part of a community that’s got each others back.
 

I am so annoyed that my account was compromised and I really feel terrible for those of you who had to deal with the a****** or worse lose money thinking you were getting a great deal.  
 

I’m hoping your banks or respective payment methods are able to assist you in recovery.  If I can help with an affidavit or statement of any type let me know.

Glad you were able to get this resolved. It would also be nice if there is some way this thread can be edited that removes/changes the title and accusations against you as put forth by the OP and others. With so many people having an attention span of less than zero many won't read this thread until the resolution if they have to search for your user ID going forward regarding B/S/T.

I agree and thanks - I didn’t want to be the one to say it, but I’m hopeful this thread is deleted.

Good spot guys, that was the same thing I was thinking having dealt with scammers in the past. Pretty telltale aggressive broken English when things go south.

A phony password change email is a pretty classic phishing attempt as it prompts you to take an action out of urgency which, if you followed any links in the email would have simply opened a dummy login/credentials page that your new password is collected through. Double check the sent from/reply to fields in the password change email and see if any of them look fishy. Welcome back though!
