A heavier shaft will help and you might want to also tip it a bit. Or the profile itself is not a great fit.  I found the 1K to feel really good but still had a left miss and accuracy wasn't nearly as good as my Ventus Black.  Another good one to try is the HZRDUS Green or new Mitsu PD

I have a 1K 70TX in my driver and I really like it. I have never played or tried the Ventus Black though I have always wanted to give it a try as I know the 1K was supposed to be the response to that shaft. I am currently throwing a Ventus Black 10X on my driving iron so I'm interested to see how that work out. 🙂

I think 6 months ago, 1K was a Ventus Black equivalent. With the release of the Kai’li, I think it is much more of a direct competitor right down to it having a similar bend profile to Black.

The DF is probably the most similar MCA shaft to the Ventus Black. Tour adoption for 1K seems to be slow. The new Kai’li shafts are really the shafts that are designed to target the Velocore shafts however those are Tour only at this point and should hit retail in Jan 2022. 

interesting comparing the DF to Ventus black. I have a DF on the way and trying to find a Ventus black to compare it to. Trying to see if I can kick the Kuro Kage DC XT TX out of the bag. Hopefully will have some launch monitor numbers soon. Would like to throw a Kai’li in there but doesn’t seem like those are easy to find yet.

The 1K is nothing like the Ventus black......If people compared the 2 it would be off base.  The 1K would be more like the Ventus Blue.....

DF, PD and Kai'li White could all be stacked up against the Ventus Black.  The soft mid section of the DF, PD and Kai'li White make them closer to Black.  Feel will be different player to player.

Hey all. I've read every thread I could find to about the Ventus profiles, specifically Black. I'm currently in a Ping Tour 65x in my G400 Max. I've dug around and found its basically an Elements Chrome but I can't find any comparisons of it to the Ventus line. Would it be most similar to the black?

I am the same way, went VB 60TX to 1k 60X. Was actually expecting more action in the 1k, more akin to the Pro Orange. Might have to think about another alternative to the 1k.
