Tudor Watches

What is known about the Tudor brand of watches?

Rolex is the parent company of Tudor.  Tudor and Rolex are linked as both companies were founded by Hans Wilsdorf.  Wilsdorf created Tudor in 1926 under the name Wilsdorf & Davis in 1905. Tudor was intended to be the more affordable option with Rolex.  While Rolex needs no explanation in the watch world, Tudor is less known but is still a very quality time piece.

With respects to Tudor, this is probably my favorite model of time piece.

What is known? They arent a new brand, there is plenty of info out there lol

 

 

They are the entry level luxury sub company of Rolex. They are nice but at their price points I prefer other brands like Monta

I was wondering the connection and noticed the similarities.

I really like the look and quality of the watch for half the price of a Rolex. I’m sure it’s lacking some of the things that Rolex provides but still a great timepiece.

I've been looking for a nice watch. Omega was one. After reading this is.loomed at Monta. Look very nice. Might be my.next purchase.

The Tudor Black Bay 58 is a hell of a time piece and might go down as a modern (though vintage inspired) classic. It's a rugged sports watch that fits in well in any situation, save the most formal.

The new ones are nice, but nothing special since it's been updated too much to no longer have that vintage look.  In the magazine ads, they look great, but in person...

 

I have a 2013 with the rose logo and like to wear it when I want the vintage look.  It pulls that off better than Rolex.  Get one of those if you can around $3k and it will hold value much better than a new one.

With all due respect. To me this piece just screams cheap imitation Rolex. I’m sure it’s a fine timepiece. But definitely doesn’t look like a $4k piece to me. 🤷🏼‍♂️ To each their own.
