Small review of GS Pro on the BLP. I just downloaded it a few days ago and after some growing pains getting this installed, I have to say how impressed I am with the software. For a small group of developers to create something like this is impressive. There are a number of courses available to you like Pebble, Pine Valley, Augusta, etc. and they are constantly updating and adding more. IMO it's much better graphics than FSX 2020 and really a decent price. Hopefully they continue to make it better and better

What subscription do you have with the BLP to pull all of the data to use GS Pro?

Wow. I had no idea FSX Pro had better graphics than FSX 2020. I thought FSX 2020 had all the courses you spoke of. I thought FSX Pro is just a range, not to play courses. 

 

FSX Play looks awesome but waiting for the price.

GS Pro and FSXPro are not the same thing.

GS Pro is a third party software. Cost me $250 per year

Just finished a long session with the BLP today. 
 

I’m coming from a Mevo+ for two years and I can tell you this thing is amazing. 
 

Pros:

1) Device is well made and has heft to it

2) Accuracy is second to none. I am finally getting wedge spin data in the 10ks which never happened on Mevo, even with RCT balls 

3) Driver speed is finally realistic. I never drove the ball past 250 yards on Mevo but now it is reflecting around 275-280 which is what happens on the course. 
4) Graphics in FSX Range are really nice. Ball tracing is very accurate. 
5) Love that the BLP has a display on it. I find myself looking down at it after shots. Having club data is amazing and shows that I have a path problem 😞 

 

Cons:

1) Connection is fussy. After the latest firmware I noticed problems went away and connects quicker. 
2) I wish we could edit the display tiles on the device. 
3) Ball placement window is somewhat small. 
4) 10% driver misreads. I have it set to the back of the shot window but it still has issues. If I float my driver at the ball too long, it will not catch a read. So I have to get in position, remove club from camera view, then quickly approach ball. I hope this gets fixed or maybe I need to get faster above the ball. 
 

 

In conclusion, this is a big upgrade above a Mevo+ In terms of accuracy and software. If you have the extra money, I say go for it. 
 

I was actually going to purchase a Quad but after using this, I don’t see why anyone would unless you want face closure rates or impact location (fitters).

@DS12312 it is both club and ball data. It does not pick up the shot. I am using a white rubber tee and I heard that could cause an issue. But it always happens when I hover my driver too long at the ball.

Same issue for me…and it’s always on a good swing too…lol.  I thought maybe it was my mat moving ever so slightly that was causing it but it’s definitely more prevalent when I’m taking extra time to pull the trigger.

Try turning off club data to see if ball data will show up.  Are you using a SIM driver that has the gray top?  I'm not sure of that's causing an error because it's close to the same color as the ball.  I emailed Foresight tech support and they emailed me possible causes of misreads and it's similar to a Skytrak with reflection, lighting, etc.

I’m using a ping g410 lst.  I think it could be reflections as well.  Going to order a different mat setup hopefully soon and will glue it down which may help as well.  It’s only happening occasionally now maybe 2-3% of the time.

Have you guys taken it outdoors on the course? I did for my kid and it picked up all the data on every drive. Wondering if it’s a lighting issue.

I am using a TSi2 which is all blacked out. I don’t see too much reflection coming off of the driver head. It is prevalent when you hover for a little extra time before pulling the trigger. 
 

Haven’t had a chance to use it outside yet since it’s raining in the Bay Area.

I have my mat velcro’d to the ground. Glad to see you are glueing your mat down because that does make a difference with keeping the alignment to the device as well as full power transfer of your swing.

GS Pro graphics look amazing. I’m definitely going to buy this. 
 

I used to have TGC 2019 but I wasn’t the biggest fan. It often times was very difficult looking for the course you wanted to play. For example, Augusta would change its name every week. Made it hard to keep track. Also ball physics weren’t the best. Drivers always had the big first bounce.

I'm on day 3 with my BLP and can't seem to have any sort of consistent connection between the BLP and FSX.  I've tried connecting with my local wifi, the BLP wifi, and USB.  For no rhyme or reason, one of those methods works occasionally for about 20 minutes.  Then, the FSX software doesn't load and establish a connection with the BLP.  

 

For BLP users who are having success, what method has worked best when connecting the BLP to your computer?

I haven't setup my BLP, yet. I have read on this thread that users were suggesting to stay away from the 5GHz band and have had better luck with the 2.4GHz band.

 

Any guys on here today that can help?

Have you updated to the latest firmware? There were some connectivity issues with the release firmware that were improved by the first FW update.

Do you have a solid wifi connection in your sim area? My BLP connection would come and go until I improved wifi coverage in garage, now it works flawlessly.

 

Also, be sure to turn on the BLP first, give it a minute or two to get connected to local wifi, then startup the FSX software.

Sorry if this is a NOOB question, but if I have a unit, and my friend has a unit...can we play a course Online against each other real time?

I know how to play in the simulator, but figured it could be fun to play against a friend real time somewhere across the country.

Sorry to hear. I just followed what others have said here. 
 

1) Turn on my BLP, let it load up until it says on the unit place ball in hitting zone

 

2) I already have FSX 2020 booted up on my PC but no cables connected. 
 

3) BLP is ready and FSX is ready. I then connect the USB C to the PC, hit refresh and the BLP shows up and connects. 
 

My issue has been connecting my iPad with FSX Pro, but need to trouble shoot. Been prioritizing using the PC and FSX 2020. 
 

What are your exact computer specs?

-Processor

-RAM

-Hard Drive Capacity

-Graphics Card

Yes, it's called Net Play only available on fully unlocked BLP or GC3 with FSX 2020.  Some have said it requires some odd set up for it to work.  I don't have any experience with it though.
