If the upcoming Ryder Cup produces $100 million revenues PGA of America and PGA Europe will likely share $50 to $70 million of profits.

PGA Europe does not exist.

*****

Ryder Cup Europe, which comprises representatives of The European Tour (60%), of the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland (20%) and the Confederation of Professional Golf (20%), owns the rights of The Ryder Cup when the competition is held in Europe.

The Professional Golfers’ Association of America  Ryder Cup  All Rights Reserved.

Yes you are missing it - her reaction was rude, even turned her head away. I view it as poor, as do others.

You can draw whatever conclusion you wish.

I agree that her reaction was rude. But it's also highly likely that she wasn't the only player who lost a match and was less than gracious. Probably a handful from both sides.

Just something I noticed:  Did they televise any of Noh’s shots at all today?  I watched on delay with some skipping, so maybe it was me. But only remember them showing her putt on 18.

No they didn't. They covered her match though - showing Reid making and missing putts and giving the context.

I have given up trying to understand things like this.

That didn't age well....

I don't know if you follow football . . . as in English Premier League football (soccer).   But there was a famous/infamous quip made back in the mid 1990's by retired Liverpool defender turned pundit/analyst -- Alan Hansen.  From wikipedia:

Hansen is known for coining the phrase "you can't win anything with kids",[8] having made the remark following Manchester United's 3–1 defeat to Aston Villa on the opening day of the 1995–96 FA Premier League season. After selling three high-profile players (Paul Ince, Mark Hughes, and Andrei Kanchelskis) in the summer of 1995, United had introduced youth team players Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Nicky Butt and Gary Neville into the first team. United proved Hansen wrong by winning a league and cup double that season. Hansen still continues to this day to repeat this phrase for humorous effect. He later said that the phrase "made him" as a pundit, as people would shout it at him in public places.[8]

Manchester United went on to win the Premier League title 5 times in 8 years.

I don't get all the talk of Salas being "born for this moment" type comments all day. Sure she was the best US player this time round but historically she is a 50% points Solheim player and in a near 10yr LPGA career has one win 7yrs ago, 6 seconds, lost the 2 playoffs she was in and has been ranked inside the world top 20 once at 19. Not the career of a closer.

I binge watched the GC Solheim re-broadcast last night and this seems even truer to me today than it was when I posted it. Not trying to criticize Salas but the announcers, especially Kay Cockerill, so overplayed the "made for this moment" stuff it was almost nauseating. It was almost as bad as the sisters thing when Brooke H is playing and in case you didn't know her caddy Brittany is her sister and is a key part of the team.

My Haha reaction to your post is in relation to the Hendersons; agree with your Salas comments.

Interesting how much LPGA golf is missed in the off season, I'm doing a Solheim re-watch over the Xmas/NY period, too.

Re Solheim, Leona was one of the 8 nominees for sportsperson of the year in Ireland (6 women!, 2 men) and also won the Irish Golf Writers pro player of the year...note that is for both male and female, only the 2nd time in 45 years a female has won this.
