Anyone Have An Idea of What TM’s Driver Plans Are for 2022?

I just want to say that there is one big difference that I’ve experienced with Stealth vs SIM2 and it’s been most prominent over the past few rounds.

I’ve had a number of drives that I hit hard toe-side and easily could have been OB, but somehow went dead straight just right of my target line. Obviously, the distance isn’t as good as a center strike, but I’m thrilled with the results on Stealth mishits. It is making a difference in my scores too! Hope some of you have similar success!

If I have a Stealth Plus+ Driver Head & it has the Std. TSS 4 gram weight in it & I change the Sliding Weight from the stock 10 gram to a 15 gram, what should be the result?

The head will be about 5g heavier.

The original estimate was by July 18th. Today they updated it to august 5th. I will not buy another club directly from them again. This is not how you treat a customer that bought a faulty product.

My apologies man, as worthless as they are. If I knew a guy that works @TaylorMade Golf I would get my sister to kick him square in the TP5s! Simply unacceptable!

How would this change the Swingweight or Launch/Spin/Trajectory?

Depending on the playing length of the driver it will increase by around 3 swingweight points. Adding 5g to one portion of the head isn't going to impact launch conditions, more likely how you respond to the increased weight will, if it all. How that will manifest depends on you. As a general rule of thumb, a heavier head can slow your release, bringing a push/fade into play if it's too heavy or calming a draw if the head was previously too light. It can impact club path as well with heavier heads resisting being thrown out over the top if you have that issue in your transition. These are just general guidelines though, literally everything could be the opposite if you react to the feel differently, or nothing could happen at all. The goal of manipulating head weight is to find what is comfortable for you first, not to manipulate launch conditions. To do that you need to move weight from one place to another, not simply add it. Dropping the front weight on the Stealth to 4g and adding that weight back to the rear TSS weight could have a noticeable impact and launch and spin (increasingly both a little) while also making the head more forgiving.

It'll increase swingweight by 2.5 points but, more importantly, It'll lower the moi considerably. Your mishits will be much more penal.

Imo, there's no reason to increase the front track weight. If you 2qnt to add weight, do it to the rear weight.

Don't all the top OEMs promote their driver as the best? "You should buy our driver for the following reasons ..."

Prerelease? Absolutely not…the hype on this club was several months before it was released. Not even close to any other club.

I guess I just find it weird that you think a manufacture wouldn't hype up something to get people talking and hopefully excited about it.   I'd find it odd if any manufacture was quiet about a release.   I'm seeing a ton of hype right now about the TSR from Titleist.  It was all over the place last week with the club making it's tour debut.

And now I want one! Only after I get those $300 FootJoys though, just so I look to mean bidness!

I'm not saying you have to buy into the hype, but it is the marketing departments job to generate excitement about a product.

I totally buy into the hype! The hype might give me 3 to 5 yds off the tee the same as dressing well would. I may get more confidence from the hype alone. Feel good, play good! I might play scratch tomorrow if I drive to the course in a Range Rover  and maybe become a +handicap if I trade that Rover in for a Lambo! Confidence begets what it will. What allows confidence in one may not another. That's on them, I buy and play the hype with hope of over performing the hype metrics. Sometimes successfully! Though most times just a dude hitting a ball with no hype at all.....but definitely with a flask of scotch whisky to ensure my good walk is never spoiled!

Luckily, Taylormade's marketing is better than your comedy.

Implementing new technology and bonding dissimilar materials; TaylorMade will get the solution worked out.  This failure rate is probably pretty low; I'm not sure what is acceptable in terms of a percentage of units produced.

With my blistering 95 mph club head speed I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have to worry about this.  😉

Ya I agree.  Been really happy with it and haven’t seen a ton of these failures but it seems to be the bonding.  I’ve not heard of any other issues around my area.
