Miura putters

I'll begin by admitting that I have zero context, which is why I'm asking the question.

 

Did Miura make putters for just a short period or have they come and gone over the years? Anyone know if they plan on selling putters again?

The word on the street is Miura will be providing a new putter for 2022.

Muira putters are fantastic.  I have one now and had a Giken one.  Really nice as you would expect.  They made JDM and global putters for a while.

I’m super surprised as since I have been away from golf for a couple years it seems to me miura really got a lot more mainstream.

I doubt a boutique company like Miura can make a putter as well as the likes of SC, Odyssey, Toulon, TM and Ping. It will look and feel fantastic but not sure it will hole any more putts.

Oh trust me they make a great putter, not much off the rack feels like a Miura putter but they are on the heavier side.

I prefer plumber’s neck blades, but I really want a KM-008 if it weren’t so pricy.

You can’t really say “make a putter as well” then say “not sure it won’t hole more puts”.  The second goes for all companies.  
 

“Putting is an attitude” and you will find you putt well with anything you get along with.  A company like miura easily makes a better putter if they have a style that fits your eye in a lie and weight that fits your stroke.  Fit and finish and feel will be unquestionably better.
 

Why do you think these big names you mentioned make putters better? Because advertising works err they have research and tech?  A putter is just metal (or should be), and it is all feel/weight/how the shaft goes into head(offset,lie etc).   By agreeing that you will putt well with anything that fits these criteria for you, the only metric left is build/fit/finish.  And by that metric everyone you mentioned as better is in fact worse than almost any large boutique like miura to small one man show making flatsticks in his garage.

From personal experience, I  found the Miura flow necks a lot nicer to stroke. The plumbers necks just looked too angular and forced my stroke to be more mechanical.

 

I would love to see a Miura putter resurgence.

Both KM-008 a traditional blade and KM-009 a plumber’s neck are both very very nice and balanced.

I was rolling my km 350 today (I think that is model?).  It is amazing.  I don’t get along with it enough to game, but it is like to putting what the small blades are to irons. Has that punchy soft feel.  
 

Also had a phenomenal session with my Epon Zen.  That thing is better than a Cameron Napa in every possible way.  Don’t sleep on Epon putters either…

Look at the Black Lab BL-360 it's a much cheaper version and reviews are good on them.

These are fantastic putters.  Plus Chip can make them lighter than the Miura's.
I loved the Miura's but they were always too heavy for my taste.
