@eric61 @getitdaily I will say in my fit the TB was probably the smoothest and most accurate fairway wood shaft I tested with the 3HL and the UW. Gave great numbers but didn’t spin like crazy, but enough to hold a green. Also in that fit tested LAGP Trono, Pro White 1k, DI, TP, UB, Ventus Blue, Ventus Red, Diamana PD and Speeder NX

 

3HL is tipped .5” and UW is tipped 1”

3HL is 60TX and UW is 70X

 

TB plays a little softer than the Ventus so tip accordingly

How did it compare to the GD shafts you mentioned and the Speeder NX? Feel-wise I assume those were the ones closest to the TB?

Ya I wanted the UB to work in the fairway and UW since I love it in the Driver but was a little too much spin for what I was looking for. The TP was good I just had a hard time with timing it with my swing (smooth tempo), the DI was good and almost won out against the TB but the TB just felt effortless to swing and had the best center face contact with

Anyone else testing these....particularly interested if everyone thinks the ST LS Fairway is a high SS player fairway only, as I am under 100 driver SS but really like the looks of the ST LS fairway.  I also like to carry a 13.5 and Cally not doing a Max version.

I ended up buying my old faithful 757 speeder evo2 and put it in my rogue. I had a ventus blue 8x in it. I have started to see a few pulls over the last 6 weeks or so with that shaft. I think the heft is causing issues. Put the speeder in and actually saw higher launch. It's a shaft I played for a few years so it slid right into action.

Mine finally arrived this week and got to hit it today with the stock tensei blue.  Felt great and love the launch and control.  Anyone play this with an ad di7?  I’ve got a spare one laying around and thinking bout putting it in play.

Ordered one for a buddy and he's in love. He's a machine with his woods and said it's the easiest wood hes played to launch and control. Generally not a huge Cally fan but the Rogue ST line is awesome. Picked up a Rogue ST TBD for myself and game changer

You won’t have any problem. Easiest to hit of the low spin fairways they have had. If you like the shape, go for it. Get a mid-launch shaft as a safeguard, but the spin difference from the standard is not huge. I’m trying to decide between the 3 and 5.

Just an absolutely awesome fwy. This club may be the most underrated club of any release in quite a while. All the hoopla is about the drivers. But this fwy is just phenomenal.

Well hit it at the range tonight 

 

15* head, ventus black 8x 

 

doesn’t want to go left. Launches high (good) sounds good (higher pitched, more metallic sounding then the TsI3 it replaced) feels solid. 
 Definitely comes off the face fast.

Think the STZ is going back in the bag. Like the 14* alittle better and the face angle sits more open/square to me, and the face is a bit deeper for when I get a touch steep on it

Mine showed up with the wrong shaft but I’m still going to give it a shot. I’ll pry end up replacing the shaft anyway. I had ordered it at 42 1/2  but that of course was also incorrect. Has anyone else felt the standard length feels way too long for a 3 wood? It’s probably because I have always played mine shorter…

I demo’d it during my driver fitting and it was really good with the AV White.

The STZ is just crazy easy to hit.  I use mine off the deck and it’s as easy a fairway wood I’ve ever hit.  Mizuno did a great job with this line.  The 5W is just as user friendly, long, and straight as the 3W.

I have the 16.5.

 

My favorite 3w was the 17m2. Easy to launch and pretty darn forgiving. But the lie angle was always too upright. 

 

This fairway reminds me a lot of the 17m2. The size, the shape, the ease to launch.  The flatter lie angle just improves on the one area I didn't like about the 17m2. Callaway says it's 56 but it doesn't appear as flat as the TM models sit at 56.

I second guessed my decision as well after the first round but mine is here to stay as well.... just cant beat the look and performance. Had a couple of squirrely shots but thats me not the club

I haven't loved a 3 wood this much ever! Very consistent and I think Callaway nailed the sound and feel combo on this one. I just hope the matt black holds up.

Man I agree completely.

 

And the sound...just a perfect blend of metal and carbon thwack. Sounds like old school metal woods...like circa 2000 stuff.

 

They nailed every category for me on this one. Sound. Looks. Consistency. Spin. Speed.

 

Drivable par 4 Saturday. 297 to pin. 290 to front. Wind with and from right to left. Hit this thing off the tee and it ended up 3 paces off the front. That's 287...16.5 3w downwind. The wind was a 2 club wind when into it. This club just impresses me.

Picked up a 15* LS today with the stock tensi 75 stiff, we will see how the shaft works out. I have a couple options if it does not. 

 

But I have no delusions about 287 off a tee, maybe 220 on a real good day...down wind, down hill.

Don't let the shaft influence the head if that tensei doesn't workout. I tried the 75x stock tensei av white and it was no bueno. But I've also never gotten along with any tensei shaft.
