That's great to hear, I've got my full bag fitting with them on September 17th...booked it so that the new irons will be out by then.

Not sure if the fitters will have them yet, but I’m sure we will know more in the next 7 weeks or so.

Taylormade rep confirmed 2023 is the next release. Will be January here in the UK, whether you guys in the US get them before that I’m not sure. He said irons are going to be very popular but that’s all he would say, they all had to sign NDA’s just to go and view the range.

Usually August is when the they release the promo materials and September is when they release it out for sale online. That’s what it has been the last 4 years if you look at YouTube dates, reviews and sales.

2020 P770 and P7MC

2021 P790 new speed foam 

2022 - same?

 

 don’t know why they would change it now! I believe they will be out September/October and New woods and Irons come out in January which is usually the Sim, SIM2 and Stealth lineup release.

I am heading to TM headquarters for the fitting. Hopefully they have something? If not then I’ll have to wait, or I will push out the fitting.

Thing is we just don't know yet because it felt like the P7 series kind of got an entire restructuring after the success of the P790. That is on a 2 year cycle. If the rest of the P7 lineup stays on a 3 year cycle you'd have P790 and P770/MC etc refreshed at the same time. I'm thinking anything before the first P790 is perhaps irrelevant now. 2017 P770. 2018 P760. 2019 P790. 2020 P770 (along with P7MC and P7MB). 2021 P790. So 2022 ... ?

That’s what he eluded to. Doesn’t follow the normal release pattern though, we’ve tended to see irons out September sort of time and woods out January but he said a blanket early 2023 release to me, he’s got one of the biggest Taylormade accounts over here in the UK too so is usually pretty clued up. Might be different for the US market. I tried to get out of him whether they’re remaking the existing lines or adding a new model but he wouldn’t budge.

I would imagine that Covid and supply chain issues may have upset what has been "normal" in the past regarding timing of releases....  They can still design, but are currently having delivery problems mostly due to shaft availability.  Makes one wonder how much inventory of heads they currently have....

I’d never played a TM iron until I got to snag a stock set of 770s from someone on here and now I’m just doing my best day by day to wait for the new stuff to get properly fit. Patience is hard 😞
