Pretty sure it’s just worn out.  They get shinier over time.

A lot of players mix Z Cord in woods/irons with TVC in wedges for a little softer feel.

His iron shafts are pretty low on his current list of issues.

Not suggesting he change his swing, but you have to know with how unconventional it is there will be times when it’s way off. Right now is one of those times.

The problem with a swing like that is you have to have crazy thick skin because any time you play bad people will question whether it’s because of your “unique” move.  I am sure that doubt creeps in, even though it may or may not be justified.

Noticed in Gankas’s recent Instagram post Wolff has a 2017 M1 back in the bag. We’ve seen Morikawa go back to a Sim and Brooks go back to an M5, but really Interesting to see someone go back to a driver that’s 6 generations old now.

If you posted this without any context on a driving range heroes forum it would get 1M LOLs.

 

My point is: I love variety! Variety in entertainment, food, tech, engineering, biodiversity, tourism, military, women; it's a long list. It's wonderful seeing different approaches from conventional norms. Some work, some fizzle out. Wolff will fizzle, we all know this, but the successful deviation in the short run is so stunning we cannot help but be awestruck.
