Mizuno wait time?

News from Canada!

Order placed April 24th, for 2 JPX 923 Forgeds with custom lofts, finally made their way to Golf Town.

Going to pick them up tomorrow.

That's 59 days, or just over 8 weeks according to a quick Google, because I'm too lazy to do the math myself. 😆

So I expect my wedge from May 8th should be here around July 8th, hopefully....

I understand the frustration, as I ordered a set of 923 Forged on 6/13. I'll likely see them at the end of July. But if you've tested, and they are the best option, why would you spend a significant amount of money on something that is lesser?

I've tried the i230, ZX4/5/7 Mkii, King Tour. The 923 Forged were the best for me. I wish they were getting to me sooner, but I'll feel better about the money I've spent.

So, I’ll echo this.  It’s easy for me to say now that I have them after an almost 7 week wait, but it’s true.  It’s a multi-year decision and if it’s the right fit, it’s the right choice regardless of the wait.  I have taken them out twice and shaved about 5-6 strokes off each round.  Those are real results.

Because I don't currently own a set that fits me and I'm months into the golf season with tournaments coming up. In the meantime, I'm taking lessons and working on my game with one set (P770) while I'm waiting for my Pro 223s to arrive. I can just keep the P770s, which I was fitted for, and fill any gaps in my bag now instead of waiting 8 weeks for the Pro 223 to arrive.

The difference between the i230, P770, ST Pro, JPX Forged, and Pro 223 is minimal. If you can get along with one you can get similar performance from the rest.

I disagree. I'm a Ping guy but did not get along with i230. Felt like they bounced off the turf every time.

Anyone who received their order lately have any quality control issues? PGATSS originally offered to check loft and lies upon receipt of the clubs. They just came in after 6.5 weeks and now they won’t have someone in store to check for a few days. I just want my clubs but will wait if there is a real chance they don’t meet order specs.

I just received my 923 HM irons after 6 weeks and included was a 2-pack of Mizuno balls as shown below.  One of each (RB Tour and RB TourX) is hardly enough to make a judgment since they can be lost with one swing.  We know how "popular" Mizuno balls are but it seemed a reasonable, inexpensive marketing idea.

RB Tour feels amazing, RB Tour X is super spinny and a little firmer to the touch.

Yep, I received that 2-pack as well.  Can’t say I could really draw many conclusions on either of them when I took them out.  I took them out for one of my dusk 9-hole rush rounds, where I am not all that focused or precise.  Both balls were promptly lost to the fescue, lol.

3-pack of each might have made more sense, but small gesture by Mizuno for our 7-week waits nonetheless.

I’m a last week of May guy, fitted for 221s and loved them. Would’ve just loved to know they wouldn’t be in for almost 3 months when I ordered them. Was between them and blue prints and hit them a little bit better and I no wish I would’ve forked out an extra $500 for blueprints to get them in the same season as ordering lol.

Been lurking here since my ordered so figured I’d update. 923 HM Pro set ordered 5/16. Just arrived at my club yesterday, 46 days is much worse than I told but much better than I was expecting based on some of the April orders. Built to spec and hit amazing. Wasn’t happy about the wait, probably wouldn’t do it again but happy to have them finally.

My HMP arrived today after 6 weeks and they hardstepped the shafts which were supposed to be softstepped.  Now how long to get this mess straightened out?

Honest question; how came you tell soft-stepped versus hard-stepped?

Ordered Hot Metals 6/15, and Mizuno told me today they should be here week of 7/24. Not too thrilled to see Hot Metals available on Costco website at a discount.  Seriously doubt I’ll deal with Mizuno after this. I wonder how retailers are feeling about this?
