TSi3 vs G425 Max

Down to these two and having a hard time deciding.  I’m really leaning towards the 425 Max just for the forgiveness.  Is that much more forgiving than the TSi3?   I will admit that I’m not a fan at all of the turbulators on the crown though.

G425 is what I’m playing and certainly was against it as I wanted more distance. Ping will definitely be shorter by a few yards 10-15 but forgiveness isn’t second to none!!! Tsi3 is a solid driver but certainly not anywhere near as forgiving. 
personally I’ll give up 10-15 yards and be in play vs x.

I did not care for feel/sound of 425, TSi3 with melt is a magical feel. I do not find it unforgiving.

TSi2 could be worth a look if you wanted a little more forgiveness. For me it was the best of both worlds

I was fitted to a TSi3 but went with a G425 Max even if it means giving up 9 yards. I find a tad tighter dispersion with the G425 and it doesn’t penalize me as much on my bad days.

I've hit both.  G425 is above and beyond more forgiving.

Both are great, felt the shaft combo in the Titleist was a bit off for me.

I demo'd one last week and the 10 shots I hit with it were almost identical, pretty neat. That head shape takes some getting used to though. It was also noticeably shorter than my Bridgestone but I hit one off the rack (with a Hazardous 60g stiff shaft) so it's possible a good shaft fitting would tease out more yardage. I just couldn't swing it as quickly.

I've been playing a 425 LST and it's plenty forgiving, just dont care for the sound.

The Max has an even louder and a more harsh tone to me than the LST.

I have an insatiatiable curiosity about the TSi3 after hitting it indoors. The traditional shape just inpires confidence for me, it feels great and ball speeds were 3-5mph faster than the Cally and the Stealth. I'm going back next week to hit against my LST set up.

 If the TSi had a Matte finish, I'd have splurged already.

Had both. Think I prefer the Tsi3 in just about every way. 

 

I am pretty sure Titleist's usual release cycle means they will have new woods this fall while I think I heard no new woods for PING this year.

Recent review On other site still has TSI3 in top 3 overall, even with new releases included, not hit many Titleist drivers, but this has to be one of their best

I’m in a driver upgrade year.  Only considerations are G425 LST, TSi 3, and new Cobra LS.

 

Test drove Stealth and Rogue 🔸🔸🔸 already with no benefit over current setup.  Rogue > Stealth

I had an extended run with each of these and ultimately the TSi3 won out. I would have been happy to bag the 425. But the adjustability of the TSi3 makes it every bit as forgiving for my $$. Better feel/sound/aesthetics out of Titleist and that’s the reason it won out. Same shaft in both found very similar performance.

Did anyone test out the TSi3 vs the 425 LS as well as the Max? I’m getting fit next month and will be looking at all 3.

I’ve played both and was very put off by the sound of the G425. I also preferred the classic head shape of the tsi3. Tsi3 was better in every way in my experience, but you should definitely test for yourself.

Went from an unfitted stock G400 Max to the TSi3 fitted with Ventus Blue last year and gained 25 yds and was smitten for a few months. TSi3 is addicting when hit well. Now struggling with driver and thinking I might be looking to get back to a Ping as they just seem easier for me to get the ball down the middle. 

 

I did just order a wt kit off Ebay for the TSi3 and am going to try and play around with adding and splitting some wts to see if it helps.

Tsi3 was longer by about 8-10 yards on my very best swings while the g425max was quite a bit more forgiving...esp. toward the toe-side of center. Maybe it’s the heavier heads but pings really shine in minimizing gear effect for me.

I did 5g hot melting, and 21g weight. Sounds better but started gaming stz instead, and now the LTDX LS.

G425 Max much more forgiving than TSi3 - TSi3 is fantastic on sound and look behind the ball but you gotta be able to strike center most of the time for it to work well and retain BS

1000% this for me.   Moved from TSi3 with Motore X F1 75X to G425 Max with Ventus 6S recently.   Should have made the switch many years ago....

I just purchased a G425 Max to see if the forgiveness will help my scores. Been gaming the TSi3 for a while w/. Ventus Red tipped 1/2 inch. I stuck the Ventus TR tipped 1/2 inch in the G425. The forgiveness is noticeable- and after three rounds I think I’m sold. However, I am losing some a little left. I believe the Ventus Red is a little more stout than the TR. I may try the Red in the Max.
