Look comfy, but from what I can see, they are well out of this cheapskate's price range.  My waterproof trail shoes cost around $60.  Going on two or three years now, and still seem to be holding up well, though perhaps not quite as waterproof as they originally were.

Both.  They are great for walking. They look

classic and rigid, yet somehow they are seriously comfortable.  The inner foam is magic for the feet.

Awesome. I bought them thinking they’d be for occasional cart days only, but have been pretty shocked how comfortable they’ve been. I’m gonna give walking 18 in them a shot.

Oh I hear ya they definitely aren’t cheap lol but I wear them almost anywhere. I was more so just agreeing with everyone else about how trail shoes can definitely be worn for golf no problem. I actually had a pair of their running shoes and got to thinking one day Man I wish they made golf shoes. So I got to looking and saw these, and I thought those look to have just as much grip on the bottom as most spikeless shoes these days.

I forgot i had these on my amazon list and my wife surprised me and bought them for me. They are like ecco knockoffs with boa and everything. For 80 bucks i was super impressed.

Wow.  How are they for width.? Are they as wiode as a comparable ECCO...I need wide.

Pretty wide. I dont really need a wide fit but they are almost too wide. Ive only played one round and it was in a cart so i cant attest to 18 holes of walking but they seem pretty comfy. My one knock is the upper is a little off-whitish. Here is compared to UA speiths and gfore gallivanter:

Thank you for taking the time to even do the size comparison pic!  I have read the Gfore Galvinator is made for narrower feet so that was especially helpful.

 

I just about placed the order for the non-BOA version (just as I'm not sure of the knock-off BOA quality as a walker).  I'm going to think about it though. Mostly as I am in Canada and the brand is  only available on Amazon.com.  Suprisingly they will ship to my home address (doesn't always happen with Amazon US) and accept returns. But there some extra fees and taxes involved besides currency exchange rates.  I'd need to do a cross-border drop-off for  free return and  that is still a bit complicated now.

 

Your post may be useful too for a local poster who has also posted in this thread and is going x-border shopping for shoes soon.

Thank you. Thanks for reminding me.  I already own four pairs of Ecco golf and some street and sneakers.

 

There's a difference between similar (many shoes are going to be similar) and knockoff.   I won't buy them.

how are the TRUE's with water? I've read there could be some issues with morning rounds and wet conditions

Well, you may be right, and I dont like it either, but I cant feel bad for Ecco as they make shoes in China as well and just about everything else that you own golf wise.

Which ones? 
 

They have straight knits for hot weather, a Ripstop shoe that is resistant and multiple pairs of full waterproof.

 

I own several pairs, never had a waterproof issue, and they stand behind their products.

Good question, I had bought the true Lux pro but for the price, they didn’t wow me on the comfort side. The style was great, I wanted to love them but the comfort wasn’t there for me.

 

I was thinking of the original 1.2. They do claim some of the knit are waterproof (see below)

Yes, they are super comfortable.  I have the Snow (with blue sole) and it looked like I had just walked on the moon after one round.  Not so good.

Yep.  They cleaned relatively good after a good scrubbing.  I had Scotch-guarded them as soon as I got them.  Just ALOT of work after one round to keep them clean (and this was in dry conditions).   Too bad because they are extremely comfortable and good looking shoes.

I wore the new Pro SL Carbon for a round today and it may be the best shoe I have ever owned.  I only had Nike/Jordans until getting a couple pair of Trues last year.   The Carbons are really comfortable and very stable.

I have a pair and I agree.  I wear 10.5 wide and they are impossible to get so I picked up a few pairs of G4 Gallivanters and FJ Premiers.    The jury is still out on them. 🙂

I like more of a sneaker like golf shoes but both those shoes I’ve tried and they were very comfortable

Is there any difference between the fit of the Pro SL and the Carbons?

I never had a pair of the SLs but I’m usually an 11.5 in all shoes (right between an 11/1.5 so I go 11.5) but the 11.5 in the Carbons we’re huge do I have an 11 in the Carbons.
