With Cobra getting more involved with 3D printing and incorporating it into the club design process, was there a consideration for the LTD series to incorporate 3D printing? If not, is that something that we could expect to see in future driver designs?

Is there a plan or program to allow customization of paint color schemes like other manufacturers have? I know there is now the all black LTD and the Radspeeds had a host of options tied into the majors last year but maybe a MyCobra thing?

Ive bought my first Cobra driver the LTDx LS and absolutely love it. I have two questions:

1) Why do we see the non milled infinity faces in some pros bags vs the retail version? Is there a benefit to one or the other?

2) With the rumblings of whats to come in 2023, any tidbits on what is in the works?

What's the biggest misconception seen when fitting the various drivers to amateurs since much of the core technology remains the same between the heads? IE. A lower handicap player thinking they shouldn't be fit into a LTDx Max before they even hit it.

Has the increased interest in club fittings resulted in unexpected higher sales than expected? I went in for a fitting and never would have considered cobra, but my fitter suggested it and the LTDx was instant magic. It just arrived and I can't wait to hit it. I do wish you announced color variations at launch though because it might have changed my opinion.

There is a lot of talk and focus on Cobra drivers.  What is Cobra doing to improve their irons?  Do they plan on continuing with their traditional blades or move towards the hollow design with gel/foam?

Cobra King Forged TEC irons are what you are looking for.  You are in luck too because the new Forged TEC and Forged TECX are coming soon to a store near you in the next couple of weeks.

They will be very competitive with other hollow body design Player’s distance irons like the Titleist T200, Taylormade P770 & P790, Mizuno 225, Srixon ZX4, Tour Edge C & E 722, Callaway Rogue Pro.

Any plans for the "Major" drivers colorways this year?  I've owned several iterations of the drivers over the years (mostly Masters themed,-Bio Cell, F9 and Radspeed and also F8+ Volition) and would love to see another this year.

Follow up question:  Any chance you guys bring back the black irons like the black Forged Tec/mb irons. Those were the most durable black irons ever…or possibly a copper color that’s as durable?

Thank you for continuing to make Excellent products at a great price.

A few questions:

  1. What does Cobra think about increased use of carbon fiber composite in drivers?  What are the biggest advantages?  What do they see as potential disadvantages of using too much carbon fiber composite?
  2. Does Cobra feel maximum driver distance is maxed out for shots struck on the sweet spot?  Will future driver designs continue to focus on increased forgiveness across the face? What do you see as the biggest hurdle to increase forgiveness?
  3. Any thoughts on USGA efforts to control distance the golf ball travels?

I loved my F9 driver so I tried the Radspeed.  I did not like the Radspeed as it launched lower consistently set at the same degree ( 10.5) and my same shaft from my F9 ( ATMOS Blue ) .

Tried the new Cobra LTDX and did not like it.

Finally tried the Cobra Max and it is great .  Solid launch angle, more muted sound off of the face, and I can hit it both high and low with just adjusting tee height.

Not related to the LTD lineup but hope to get an answer. I love your vintage line of putters with the SIK face you introduced last year. However, the face dings up quite easily. Is there a next gen of putters coming, and if so, possibly going insertless with the milled SIK face like a few seen on tour?

The LTDx LS is as good as anything out there in terms of ball speed.  However, it seems to be extremely low spinning (hovering around 2k and sub 2k for me).  It seems that tour players and good fitters seem to want the spin to be closer to the mid to high 2k range.  Are the tour players making adjustments to the setup to obtain those type of numbers or are there swings (which is far superior to my own haha) able to give them a bit higher spin profile?  For instance, do you see your players moving up in loft?  Removing weight from the front and adding to the rear?

Big question, since we get feedback from all of them. For the Drivers we work heavily with Rick, Bryson and Jason Dufner for the most feedback. Rick is keen on playability and hitting different shots and is more in tune with address setup details, overall visuals and marketing appeal with great performance. Bryson is more focused on maximizing speed with a draw trajectory but also containing miss hits. Visuals are not as important to him. Jason Dufner has a keen eye for performance and visuals so he is very helpful as well. And in the absolute pure performance category of Long Drive, both Bryson and Kyle are extremely helpful, for performance and because there are no robots made that swing as fast as them! TO

Our teams are continually working on cutting edge technologies like 3D printing but we cant share all the secrets before they are ready for market launch! Also looking into more customization in the future, we have offered a number of colors in stock product as well as LEs [Limited Editions] over the years and will continue these type of options moving forward. GolfWRX will be a key partner in letting you in on what we have when we are ready. 🙂 As far as individual customization, we still have some supply chain challenges that require us to focus on the production of larger quantities. We have been dialing in some performance attributes for tour players which require us to make some variations in faces. Bryson in particular has been extremely interested in face curvatures and performance for awhile so there require more on site engineering at the cutting edge speeds and performance requirements he is looking for. Good rumblings about 23, just finished some of our production releases to get things rolling in production. [Yes it takes that long to finalize tooling and get everything ready to go for next years product] - TO

We often hear from the fitting community that the biggest misconception is that you have to be a good player to benefit from fitting. The general feedback is actually that you can improve an average to high handicap player more through fitting than a good player. [the good player is already good and usually not to far off in their club fits] TO
