So if Rory goes to LIV, how much does he get?  Maybe this is becoming a contest to see who can garnish the biggest contract.  I say he does not eclipse Rahm... whay say you?

I think he gets whatever he asks for, including his own team.. the angry leprechauns

You think PIF has turned a profit on the exhibition circuit?

That's irrelevant. They simply don't need to.

Walter: Tell me Bobby, why do you play this game?
Bobby: I play because I love it.
Walter: Well I play for the money. I have to win. That is why every time we face each other I will always beat you.

Obviously not, that was a typo on my end. My comment was in response to the comment that Rory would want equity in the league. I just don’t understand how you can get equity in something that’s backed by a $2 trillion sovereign wealth fund.

All the team owners/principals are supposed to have 25% ownership/equity in their teams. Perhaps PIF has the team owners convinced under some form of fuzzy math that 25% of zero equals equity.

I don’t think Rahm, Brooks or Phil care about equity. If LIV ceases to exist after this year they’re still walking away at least $100 million richer. Worst case scenario would be a fine of some sort or a suspension of a year. I also don’t see how LIV exists in its current form if the PIF will be involved in its current form

Big Al speaks:

LIV Golf Chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan updates players on potential future investment in PGA Tour Enterprises (msn.com)

I must say that I find it amusing that they (Al - Greg) can say with a straight face, things like:

"The game of golf is only beginning to fulfill its potential. This is the vision we had when LIV was created, and today that is more alive than ever. LIV has transofmred the sport, and we will continue to grow the game globally, expand its fanbase, elevate its platform, and maintain incredible momentum.

LIV will push the PGAT outside their comfort zone. Meaning:

-Same pre canned telecast

-Weak analysis

-Dodgey coverage

I hope to see a Masters App type experience with the tour.

The announcement of a “see any shot at any time” is awesome.

It’s the reason that LIV found opportunity. If you “hate” LIV, I think you are more disappointed with the fact that LIV found a niche that was out in the open for the tour to pounce on, WAY before LIV.

at the end of the day, it’s millionaires arguing over millions.  Doesn’t impact me.

But, force the tour to modernize and bring a better viewing experience.

Heck, I may be able to sell that to my wife.

Maybe.

The addition of the wildcards and having two guys playing outside the teams events is very contrived after obviously being jammed in to make the numbers work around Rahm's team/to fill 18 tee slots. At least Laurie Canter makes sense in coming 4th in the promotion event. No idea why the other spot didn't go to the guy who came 5th over Swafford.

I feel like people are reading way too much into the SSG announcement. The only reason for that move is to get the Justice Dept off the tour’s back. PIF is probably gonna come in as a minority investor and eventually the world tour that Rory is talking about will be rehashed WGC’s with some team golf element.

I agree with everything that you’re saying! I feel that’s what pga tour live should be. It’s already behind a paywall. I just think that would be a tough sell to networks like CBS

Swafford was one of the OG guys who defected from PGA and played in the first London event. He's been battling injuries ever since. It may also serve as insurance when Kaymer inevitably gets injured at some point during the year. 54 is the magic number after all! "Go Dawgs"

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
