They look terrible. No one and I mean no one looks good in horizontal stripes.  Especially mixed colors and widths.  Just awful.

In our gaggle, team scores, skins, closest to pins are all about beating the other group...when only one guy on our team scrapes up a par on a hole, we see it as preventing an easy skin for someone else in the other group as much or more than tying the courses par.    I have friends play in other gaggles, a common thing they say to me is like....shot 73 with 4 birdies..didn't win a penny....    it didn't matter he shot 73.

I was just gonna go with the confused emoji, but maybe you can clarify.

 

Two scenarios:

 

1)  My opponent hits his drive OB.  I would club down and hit a safer club as I'm now essentially 2 strokes ahead.

 

2)  I need to sink a tricky putt to "tie" a hole.  I will hit it hard enough to ensure it makes it to the hole and not worry how far past it might run..... because it doesn't matter.

 

In both cases I'm focussed on playing my opponent and not concerned about the course (i.e. par, or my score) at all.

In his interview Immelman stressed the importance of a fast start.

 

I was pretty surprised to see Kim anywhere other than in the first 2 or 3 out.

 

10th makes absolutely no sense to me.  Far better to put a guy like Pendrith back there.  He's having a tough time this week so put him where it probably won't matter, and if it does maybe he'll find his form at just the right time.

Reasonable argument, though it's still not direct competition. It's more on par with taking your grandmother on a hike in case of a bear attack.

Definitely. Still want the US to win but it’s hard not to feel for the INT guys. T Kim’s enthusiasm is fun to watch, and poor Adam Scott has been playing this event since 2003 with nothing but losses. Hope they can make it exciting today.
