let’s remember. Billy Ho has one of the greatest records for taking care of his caddie on tour. Ever.  He shared the wealth when he won the FedEx.   He is by all accounts a great family man.  And has no scandal that I know of.  And yet , he can attract as much hate as Patrick Reed some days.  Doesn’t really make sense.   

I actually have no issue with Horshel. Seems to be a pretty good guy.

 His wife's battles with Alcoholism were heavily publicized a few years back and he spoke about the struggles in depth. Hopefully they are all good now. But not exactly a squeaky clean image like you stated.

 I'm not judging or throwing stones. Just keeping the TMZ portion of this forum active. I like the guy and wish him all the best. He's very courageous in my book.

Oh no.  I don’t mean he’s perfect. Hell. I don’t consider having a wife who had an issue a negative in the true sense . It’s a positive that he upheld his obligation to her.  And presumably her to him by getting sober. 
 

if I were judged by family members addiction.  Well.  Let’s just say I can make Billy Ho look like a nun.  
 

im talking about things like having a gambling addiction that causes you to have to change equipment sponsors in order to get the $ to pay the bookie.  Things like that . 
 

I’m not arguing. Just clarifying. My idea of clean , and others idea of clean won’t match up.  My barometer for that is skewed to the max. Perfection is a myth.  I’m the guy who is just hoping that nobody pulls a gun on anyone at thanksgiving and I have to take it away.  or there’s no drug deals in the church during the funeral.  ( both true stories ). Things like that.

I think we're on the same page. But let's be honest the way society judges people he would be considered to have had a rough life. I think its admirable that he stuck with her and they overcame the struggles.

Did anyone find it amusing / ironic that the captains and players and announcers constantly tried to compare scenarios to past Ryder Cups and never President’s Cups ??? … the tour and Monaghan can’t love that 

 

they are trying sooooo hard to be as important as a Ryder a cup it’s cringeworthy at times

It did to me, I like watching quality golf being played.  I found myself pulling for the International team partly because they were hanging tough and not giving up and partly because I just didn't want this great display of golf to end.
