Strongly disagree.  I was thinking that Europe would whoop the US if they played like they did today.  I am actually strongly hopeful for the 2023 team.  The core of Rory/Rahm/Hovland/Fitzy/Lowry is as good as anyone on the US team.  Add in Bob McIntyre and the Hoorgard twins.  Then all we need is Thomas Pieters to start giving a sh$t and we got a team.  Maybe Fleetwood and Hatton can remember how good they are.....  😀

Thought Immelmann was an excellent Captain and did a great job given the limited pool he had to work with.  I would hope over the next few years there is some better emerging talent from South Africa and Australia as South Korea is obviously fielding some great players!

I think the 5 players you named are as good as any one on the US but the the United States has more depth then Europe by far.

Finau

 

You add guys like Willy Z(replace Kiz), Theegala, Burns, Cam Young that team is pretty awesome.

A big reasons the US never had much success in the Ryder Cup for an entire generation were Tiger,Phil, and Jim Furyk. Neither of those 3 guys really cared for the Ryder Cup simple as that. Tiger's not automatically qualifying next year and I hope ZJ doesn't pick him
