You may be confused that you see posts from the 2022 college fooball season. This is because I am being lazy and just edited the subject to make it

Same as Appalachian State beating Texas A&M in College Station. A week after losing 63-61 to North Carolina.

Nebraska really? Really? Georgia Southern. I know Nebraska is flat awful under their former "hero" Scott Frost but really Georgia Southern? The legendary vaunted Black shirts giving up 642 yards of offense at home to a low level non-Big 5 school that was 3-9 last year?

 

 

The Sun Belt Conference was the conference of the day today. App State, Marshal and Georgia Southern all knocking off Texas A&M, ND and Nebraska. All of those games on the road. So much for buy a win games. Nebraska needs to fire Frost ASAP. Who cares if his buyout drops on 10/1. Especially with all of the new giant tv money coming in starting next year. It's crazy that Nebraska year in year out has one of the best women's volleyball programs in the NCAA and yet their legendary football program has fallen so far so fast.

 

FWIW an early upset call for next weekend. Western Michigan beats Pitt for the 2nd straight year. This time at home. Book it.

It was $7.5 million bad!  That’s how much more it cost to fire Frost this week as opposed to waiting til Oct 1st. But they should have fired his best buddy too, who happens to be the defensive coordinator.

As a non-Nebraska fan living in Omaha, I absolutely love it!!!  It has been amazing seeing how long it took for the delusion to finally break.

What delusion?  The one that we’re relevant in college football?

 

We’ve been horrible for 10 years. I know many of the die hards still seem to think “we’re really close, he needs another year”. But the realists have saying the exact opposite. 
 

However, we will still continue to hang our hat on the 95 team. Better to live in the past than to not have one at all.

Yes he was. And he wasn’t even on that vaunted 95 team. But when you watch the highlights, look at the holes he has to run through. 
 

I was at a fast food restaurant in Lincoln, somewhere around 83-84. A guy’s car had stalled in the driveway just as Rozier and Roger Craig came out. They jumped in behind it and pushed it out of the way like there was nothing there. Pretty high quality car pushers there!

Ok after watching that game I have something to say here on bscinstnct's  college football thread. 

Vols pull it out in the end and beat Bama for the first time in 15 years. What a thriller. What an instant classic. What wicked hangovers many will have in Knoxville tomorrow morning. Wow did I enjoy watching that one. 

Happy for the team, the school, and their fan base.

Penn State once again exposed as a fraud. No way they should have even been ranked in the top 25 let alone the top 10. Makes you wonder how voters make the decisions they do.

 

OLI at the top 25 to start the season aka others receiving votes. They didn't even deserve to be there after their last two season. Didn't beat a ranked team or competent opponent this year yet kept rising in the polls. Yeah they beat a poor and unranked Auburn team at Auburn. An Auburn team that is currently in last place in their division in the SEC.

 

While the score showed 41-17 against UM today it really wasn't that close. If anybody actually watched the game you would have seen how lopsided it was. UM destroyed them. OSU will pound Penn State worse in two weeks. In big games James Franklin is simply awful.
