Any idea when we can see the 2023 Ping bag lineup?

Agreed! I just bought a black Hoofer, it’s meh.

 

Wish they brought back more of the two tone Hoofer life bags

I only use Hoofers. I really could’ve used a new bag this year to replace my faded 2017 Hoofer, but their colors were so bad I decided to stretch it another year. Hopefully they go back to the drawing board on color combos, because this seems to be the consensus on this years.

Color combos have been pretty meh since about 2016 I feel like. There has been 1-2 a release that standout otherwise very underwhelming. I wish @PING would offer some of the camo bags that so many college teams use in a retail release. Red, black, white, navy,etc. camo options without at school logo on the side would be awesome.

I honestly think the Hoofer lite is too small and narrow, but then again I ride most of the time

I could see that if you ride a lot and/or pack a lot of gear.  I carry very few things and walk as much as I ride.  Hoofer Lite size is perfect for walking.  Agree colors have been pretty bad of late.  I like my colorway though, especially the heathered grey fabric.

Gonna keep an eye on this thread. Want to treat myself to a new bag this year. I’ve always been a fan of the hoofer but haven’t had one for about 6 years now. Historically it looks like Ping doesn’t release bag line ups until Jan so we have to be patient for a few more months.

2nd Swing has several custom Hoofer Lites available for sale, including some camo options.  You can tell they're custom because they don't have matching straps.

I like the Pioneer and have had several of them but I agree that last year's color selection was awful.

 

My current bag is a couple of years old and is "silver" or grey and I like the lighter color as it doesn't fade like the darker ones.

 

Had a red, white and blue that looked great for about six months and then the navy blue turned purple and looked awful.

 

The white sections quickly become dirty and looked crappy as well.

When they do drop, I might be switching from my Hoofer to a Hoofer lite, depending on the style and color combos….I’m guessing the 2023 models will be a re design?

It was supposed to be a re design in 2022 this past season but they skipped and just released terrible colors. I would think 2023 would be redesigned.

^ Agree, seems like normal timing would mean a redesign is past due.  The only change I'd request for the Hoofer Lite is to get rid of the sensor cool technology on the straps.  It can be a bit abrasive at times.  A clean navy colorway with minimal white accents could work.

I really want to purchase a Ping bag, specifically something in the cart bag segment but agree on some of the colourways - although I did like the look of the Traverse in Heather Gray / Black. Has anyone had durability and usability issues with these bags? I see most gear reviews on the past two seasons products are not what one would expect from Ping? Any thoughts?

My wishlist:

 

1) Please stop putting white, yellow, and other light colors on the dividers and zippers of non-white bags. They get dirty so quick and can't be washed or cleaned. 

 

2) I hope they add some mini legs (don't have to be retractable) to the Moonlite or add another small bag tailored to half sets similar to the Taylormade Quiver, Mizuno BR-D2, and the Callaway Par-3.  If you play mostly in morning dew, the clubs and your back can get real wet. Plus, the clanking every time you set them down is not as nice.

 

3) Would love if the legs did not have to start at the very top of the bag.  They work just as well if they started a quarter or halfway down the bag.  But, they will fit better on carts and trolleys.

 

4) The L8 needed 2 straps that aren't slippery (like in the Varsity model) and the long garments pocket needs to be split into two, like the original L8.

I agree, some people start seeing them in catalogs from Ping reps around this time. Be interested in hearing what's coming in Jan.

Hopefully 2023 color ways will be much improved over the mundane 2022 lineup. Still rocking my 2016 Hoofer.

Great point about the zippers and dividers.  I had the current model all "black" Hoofer Lite and the white zippers got too grimy for my taste.
