@third-times-a-charm if one was interested in snagging a toulon putter, are there any periodic times those restock specifically?  Or is it kind of a hodgepodge / grab bag of fun re: inventory coming in?  Thanks!!

No rhyme or reason, really. What you see on the website is usually not all they have so I would recommend calling a rep to see if anything is available that you can't see.

 

Also they have toulon garage models available for most every toulon ever made from 2018-present but theyre not listed on the website due to the plethora of details/options so you also have to call and ask.

 

For instance, CPO has 2019 Toulon garage las vegas models with various finishes/necks/etc. Or 2018 San Diegos, or 2020 Portlands, etc.

I keep holding out hope they'll eventually get a Latrobe in stock, ideally in Rose Gold or another Garage finish, but have struck out so far.

They used to have them. Probably sold out since its such an old model. IIRC they were like $275 or so.

If your question was about callawaygolf.com for newly release and current-model products, it's usually in the summer/fall after the new products are launched.

Ordered a set of Apex TCB in right hand, very good condition.  Opened the box earlier today and they were left handed.

 

Is Cole the best person at Preowned to call?  Does anyone ( maybe @third-times-a-charm) have a direct number to him?

 

My worry is the specs I ordered at won’t be available as I’ve been waiting on a 4-A wedge set over standard length to show up for a few months.

 

I’ve bought a bunch of gear from them over the years and totally understand these things happen and this will be the first time I’ve had to contact them after a sale.  Everything but the driver and 3 wood in my current set up were purchased from CPO.

No he wouldn't be go to, from when I've spoken w/ him, only returns he's able to process will be if you purchased item directly through him. Would have to call the main line to get connected to a rep for return/exchange. From my experience they'll look through the system for similar product, if none available will offer refund (discount if you keep them but since they're LH, doubt that'd be useful for you).

@ButcherButters is correct. Cole doesnt deal with returns. You need to speak with customer service from the main # and setup a return. If no other sets are in stock for the same item # they will just give you a refund.

 

CPO has had big issues lately with items being mis-categorized. I guess they did rapid hiring in the warehouse to speed up those 45-day refunds/trade-ins and things got sloppy.

 

I bought a 3 wood last month and they sent me a 5 wood, lol. (sticker said 3 wood). Also ordered an AD CQ 7 Stiff shafts and got a CQ 7 X-Stiff instead.

 

Luckily they pay for return shipping and approve all returns no matter what. Their CS is great.

The only one I've ever seen was on eBay and it was like 500$. I don't check CPO religiously, though.

There is no specific category for them so i dont think so. If they ever did come in, they got mixed in with the regular ones or got put into clearance for being different somehow. For some reason irons, wedges, UTs and the like dont really make it onto CPO from the tour trucks. I think they're easier to give away to friends and etc than the woods for whatever.

Just recently received what you might call a “Cole Special” that requires reaching out to Cole to see what they have around that might not be on the website.

 

In this case, it was a LH Toulon Garage Atlanta putter, which are frankly not that easy to come by Garage or not. You always hope with one of these orders that you might get a very special one-off, or tour issue product, maybe a top line instead of flange line, but you never know until you receive it.

 

Anyway, this turns out to be a pretty basic Atlanta, appearing to be mostly stock, but with a red sight line and Garage stamp. Interestingly, my Garage Atlanta that I just received in 2024, appears to be basically exactly like the one in this golfalot review from 2019. https://www.golfalot.com/equipment-reviews/odyssey-toulon-stroke-lab-atlanta-putter-review-4307.aspx. Gotta wonder where they find these things (same Stroke Lab shaft and oversize grip, though mine has the H7 hosel).

 

Always fun going through this dance, and certainly a nice putter that I had been looking out for, but not worth a major premium. YMMV.

Just a follow-up to my order mistake, received left handed TCBs instead of right…

I was in the market to replace my TM wedges (50/56). I initially was tempted to purchase past Tuesday as they had the 25% off promo going. Jaws were $109 at the time, but I decided to wait to see if CPO might release a new promo. Glad I waited for the recent CPO discount that just came out.

 

After the trade-in, plus cally pts of $11 (which is paying for shipping) and IF all goes well with the trade-in value, my order came out to $110 for 2 wedges (purchased like new condition for $99).

 

Love when CPO has discounts like these. Picked up a White Hot OG 7S at the end of last seasson for like $120+ tax, the head and grip where still in the original wrap too!

He doesnt mind. If its an item that already has a public listing on the website but you cant see inventory then no its not worth it to call as you'd be able to see it. If its an item that has a SKU but is not visible on the website (hidden for whatever reason) then yes call him and he can tell you if something has come in before its activated on the site.
