I like the Nike Durafeel - they tend to fit best and last a good while for me.

But can you purchase it in BLACK?  Just kidding.  I know you like that flash of white passing through your peripheral vision just under your chin...

Yesterday

CCA  Tee Time 3 PM

81*  Hazy sun to start no wind. On the back fully overcast with 10-20 mph winds.

CCA  Par 71

Senior tees

5826        68.6/127

It was another boring round and I know just who to blame/thank for it. A month ago I took a lesson with Noah and I was instructed to make a complete shoulder turn back. Quit stopping short and then just raising my arms for the last portion of my takeaway.  Other than that he said I was solid. I have practiced hard on building that full turn away with my upper body into my swing. I'd say I am doing it now 75% of the time when playing.  I have had for a few weeks now more accurate shot making and added distance for sure.

I reeled off 7 consecutive pars to start. Then on both 8 and 9 I hit poor approach shots both from 120-125 yards with the ball below my feet. I failed to save both. 2 over on the front.

4 straight pars to start the back. Then a bogey on the no.2 handicap #14. 3 over. Three more pars followed and then a bogey on the last.

Zero birdies      I had 3 looks from inside 15 feet and no bottom of the cup was found.

Zero doubles    Wow for three rounds now I have avoided any doubles.

Zero Penalty strokes    I don't miss them.

Zero Three Putts     The new grip is money.

Only one fairway missed.

The lob wedge hit many tasty touch shots.

This kind of steady play is really not my true game.

I'll take boring for as long as it lasts. 🏌️‍♀️

38  front

14 Pars

 4 Bogeys

=   75

Great Weather. Great Foursome. Great Golf Course. Great Score. Great Time!

There was lush green turf and blooming trees all over the place. Round #20 was a dandy.

Same here aen. I've been given nice new colored gloves as gifts and during the round wearing them I say to myself this is weird to look at and they are not used again. Probably has something to do with wearing Titleist headwear. 😉

It was different and neat.

Course condition looks great. Nice to be in short pants this time of year. Your weather has been really good, especially in comparison to ours just a short distance away. Snow on the ground this morning with more coming through midday Friday. Then more rain. Should have stayed another month in St. George.

There are indeed a good many special courses in this part of the state MS.

I have lived all over the country and find this area to be one of the best areas for wonderfully scenic golf courses.

Photos? Oh I have some photo's for the Lounge this morning.

First driving in this morning this guy was standing in the road. He told me don't be featuring turkeys from CCA and forget about us here in Biltmore Forest. He was strutting in all his glory.

I had to roll my window down and ask him to please get out of the road so I could get to work. 😃

My son was in Boone last weekend with some folks he has met and he seemed to feel like NC is a good place to be.  He did say he was mildly reprimanded on the deck when someone noted the "mountains" and he felt they were more a hill type thing, but he said it was nice.

As I begin to smell the proverbial work barn I mull over retirement spots and NC is high on the list for myself.  I couldn't do summer, that is a no go, but I could definitely do half and half.  Don't think I can reasonably say I will leave MT for good.

Nice. My ivy, in allowed places, took a big hit in January when we had a week of sub 20° weather. Lots of dead leaves now that I have to remove.

Good to know that BFCC s a member of the Ivy League.

The Ivy at BFCC goes way back to the early 1920's DMM.

It is quite a mature and substantial vine.

Question for the intelligentsia.

Since September 2023 the market has priced in a Fed Cut, and one point they were anticipating 6 cuts in 2024 starting in March.  Well, clearly that didn't happen.  But, the market went bonkers during this rally because money would become cheap again improving cash/flow, etc.  I get that.  The question:

In anticipation of the Fed meeting on Monday/ Tuesday stock indices dropped.  Powell says he is still on schedule for June, market is muted.  Then today the indices are considerably up again.  There is no way there will be 6 cuts this calendar year, there might be 4 starting in June and maybe August, but should the exuberance of late 2023 mean all this stuff is priced in already, and in fact the market should be trending down because 6 isn't going to happen?

I don't get it.

I like it but would suggest that the clubs should be cleaned up a bit, especially the irons. They should look like these.

I feel a little better that my tiny mind might almost get it.  Not surprised it dropped precipitously this afternoon.

Of course, no one likes to have potential earnings wiped away, unless your name is Elon who tells advertisers to coital themselves, but it gives me hope it isn't a great big bubble.
