chi sag’s diamondbacks got me off to a good start tonight. 

 

now i need a big game from giannis and steph to take care of business and it’ll be a good mother’s day for mrs strokes!!

it was the 80s but I remember “double sessions”, one 3 hour practice at 8am, then come back at 2pm for another 3 hours. This was in August, I think they banned them now. 

 

We we are completely dehydrated and we’d get one water break where a coach would hold a hose and you’d get to gulp water for maybe…

And if he was in a bad mood maybe 3 seconds. Miracle nobody died. 
 

And no bush league allowed at cost of severe punishment. One time this kid, couldn’t believe it, he caught a TD and spiked the ball! He got a penalty and had to crab all the way around the field after the game lol

 

I know I shouldn't fixate on this particular part of your post, but imagine if a kid went home today and told his parents that the coach gave him a drink of water from a hose.  Oh, the humanity!  😜

Yeah everybody got their own water bottle now. Vitamin Water, Gatorade, flavored seltzer. And water. Back in the day we like,

 

Pay for water? 🤣

 

Then poof! Evian, Perrier, and now 900 waters. 
 

All we had back then was the old school clear bottles with that straw coming out, remember? And coaches weren’t giving those out for practice. 
 

Ya drank out of the hose. Or you got nothin! 🤣
