Great viewing but I've now muted the commentary - how many times do we have to be told that this player or that is a major champion, they must use the term 200 times a round.

 

The PR of individual players from the commentators is nauseating - just call the play!

its about 6300   it was windy  today  so more of a test

she hit  3  shots today that were 30 yards out   long on 9  short on 17 and long on 18

Many in this LPGA sub forum back in 2021 thought Patty T. was the next one after she won the ANA. It didn't happen. Nothing more nothing less. It's golf. It still could still happen for her.  Same as this event. Very few if any knew who the young lady from Thailand was after she led the event after the third round. Yet because she hits the ball far people automatically assume she was "the" next. Ask Anne van Dam how well that has worked out for her on the LPGA Tour. 

 

Same as you touting some long hitting male players from Asia over the years that have a hot minute in an one off Asian event but never progress further on the world stage. 

 

How about we simply enjoy players for what they are in this moment w/o declaring them anything special going forward.

i said   different class of ball striking but she hit 3  very indifferent shots today

 

How many guys on this forum sat in  the sun today actually watching live golf and seeing what was actually going on?

 

Today she was 2nd  which is  great as a rookie

 

Lets see end of this year

 

SIngapore  next week  very similar conditions  i take it she will get invited if not previously due  to 2nd finish today

... which other LPGA pros that you watched in-person = impressed you with their ball-striking?

e.g. this week, the commentators kept mentioning Maja Stark's ball-striking = "different gravy"??

Crazy game. I wasn't expecting this, but I'm not totally shocked, either. We know there are low rounds available out there, but the leader has to stumble to make it interesting. First, I thought the coverage was excellent. With so many players in the hunt, they did a good job of showing shots from most of the key players. 

 

Congrats to Lilia. Just a solid final round performance. It was only a matter of time before she claimed her first win.

 

Tough day for Natthrakritta, but she hung in there. This will sting, but it was a heck of a first tournament by the rookie. Didn't seem to quit at any point.

 

I thought Jenno was going to mount a charge, but her putter wasn't cooperating.

 

Maja looks strong early, but ran out of gas on the back.

 

Nice to see Jin Young put together a solid round. Hopefully the injury is behind her.

 

Oy, Lydia. Another double? Thought she was going to rack up a top 3. 

 

I really like this course. Yes, it can be a birdie fest, but the greens are tough. Plenty of opportunities to post big numbers.

Birdie  fest  given the set up.LPGA  can toughen it up 3-4 shots a round easy

add another  300 yards  no   give away birdies no tees 60-80 yards up from  given yardage

Don’t think she’ll be playing next week. Field looks closed.
