Talking more specifically about milled blades that have released in the last couple of years.. Which one is your choice and why?

For me, off the rack none of them. Well maybe that new NP2.5+ from Scotty if I had to pick one since it's a flow neck.

Honestly would be a custom PLD from me if I had to get a putter from any of them.

If I had to buy something new OTR, it would probably be a Toulon. I haven’t been overly impressed with most of the SC designs for the past decade, and I’ve never had much luck with Ping or Bettinardi… couldn’t adjust to the differences in feel.

For the money, I would try to find a Studio Stainless in good shape and call it a day. As far as milled blades are concerned, it’s the best of the bunch IMO.

None of the above. I would go used and older. I had finish issues with every Bettinardi I had, Toulon resale seems to be very poor, and Scotty and Ping I feel are overpriced. I have been using my $120 Wilson Staff L putter more than any other putter I own. It may not be as sexy but it gets the job done and feels great. Carbon putters is a great brand and good to work with if you want something more high end. Despite owning 30ish putters including Miura, Scotty, one of the limited (1 of 55) copper PLD ansers, along with several other high end milled putters, my relatively cheap Wilson always gets the nod when it matters.

Probably an unpopular opinion and not what you wanted to hear though. Haha

I really appreciate the insight and knowledge. I was on Carbon’s website last night looking at possibly ordering something custom. Also really love how the SINK putters look. Any experience with those?

Toulon for me. Scotty's are nice but not worth the cash to me. Non OTR PLD seems like a cool process if you have the time.

Toulon or Ping PLD out of those that you listed.  Toulon can be found at a really good price used, and it has a good feel to it.  I would be all over a PLD Anser if I didn't like my Kingston KP1 so much.  I currently use a Toulon Las Vegas h4.5, and have no complaints about it.

Toulon or Cameron for sure.

Bettinardi's always looked a bit awkward to my eye, although carbon is a plus. Modern Ping is just meh for me. One forgettable line after another IMO

If you're buying a current blade off the rack, Cameron's are surprisingly the lowest price. Dick's currently has:

Cameron's $399.99

Betti's $429.00

PLD & Toulon's $449.00

Resale, secondary market, obviously Camerons will hold their value the most. If you're looking for the best bang for your buck milled blade from the last couple of years, hard to beat the Toulon's. Crazy how low I've seen some go on ebay.

Good luck with Carbon.

I'd take a PLD from that list for sure.  Their wide blade anser shape is amazing

The all black Anser PLD grabbed me when I went to buy a Scotty. Better feel, quality and looks great. It’s been a great choice thus far.

Hit puts for about an hour with all of them and ended up aiming and rolling it best with the Scotty X 5.5.  I liked the look of the toulon madison the best but my aim was all over the place as well as my putting stroke.  Had to make the grown up decision and go with the less sexy / non blade option lol

Took a couple rounds of practice to get used to the scotty mallet but I love it now.  Finally feeling confident over puts.

I used to really like Bettinardi to not like Scotty.

but finally realized that the feel of old Scotty is so good - not sure if it is the light milled face

Had two Bettinardi before and now 2 Scotty and still one Bettinardi just because it is carbon and has the Fit Face so it is softer

tried Toulon before didn’t like the face

tried Ping and like others have said they are quite forgettable. The PLD felt nice but not nice enough for the high price

Scotty has the best resale value, but I can't find anything to beat out my PLD. I love the shape and lines of the Newport 2 but not the length. The Anser 2 is IMO a better NP2 shape but with a shorter blade length. Got mine in black carbon with a top line, blank sole, and deep milling for a soft feel. I don't think this will ever leave the bag.

If you have no opinion...always take the Scotty. They are easiest to resell and are nice putters.

I hate Scottys, so i would take the PLD or a Bettinardi. I wouldn't touch a Toulon as they are always being passed around the BST...and they say "Odyssey" all over them.

Of note, the newest Mizuno putters are really nice for a milled blade.

I agree with most of your comments, but Scotty has released nearly the same NP2 for the last 10 years almost.

Went back to GG today to give them another try. Ended up ordering a “above average” PLD Anser 2 in the silver finish (more classic look imo) on 2nd Swing for $360. Can’t wait for it to arrive!
