Love mine!! The only thing I may change over the winter are the shafts. I have KBS $-Taper 120's (which have been perfectly fine BTW) but would like to try the Modus 105's, just to see how they feel and how I like them. Gonna find somewhere that has these in their matrix to see if it be worth switching. Otherwise I'll play what I have until the faces wear out. The Tours are the irons of the year IMHO

Cobra Tours are phenomenal. They are the irons I wish Mizuno made with the 223.

King tours ….

This set has caught my eye…

+ hcp playing 2023 7mc currently with mmt125tx, no trouble with distance so not looking to gain yardage really. Just a touch more forgiveness

anyone make the switch? Anyone playing them with mmt125tx shafts in them?

thanks!!!

Have you hit the ping i210 or i230?  I think the tour are extremely similar in size and performance.    Maybe a touch less bounce on the tour soles.

performance wise extremely forgiving across the face, good dispersion front/back and side to side.  For me they apexed too high 130-140 ft and spun too much. (9.5-10k with my tester 9 iron and 7800 with a 7 iron)

I did not make a careful comparison. Didn’t really think of them as similar. To me the Tours don’t look as big as the Pings from address. Different shape and proportions, soles are different. I would say hit them and see what you think. They did not remind me of the Pings at all.

To me they are more like a ZX7 with a bit more forgiveness. Maybe like a JPX 923 Forged. Cobras don’t feel the same through the ground as the i210/i230, I thought the Tours were really good on turf interaction.

I’d say the tours will fall into the same category visually.  Very close in size.

No, not even close

To me the tours are a replica of the t100s

is that a fair comparison?

King tour and i230 comparison

Yeah, even in this shot the Cobra has a bit more of an overall squat look. Ping is more elongated. Soles look similar in the middle but not the toe or heel. I don’t know for sure but I don’t think they have the same bounce. To me, the King Tours don’t look as big from address compared to the Pings. For what I like I rate the relative size of irons mostly by how the heel to toe blade length looks from address because that’s something I’m sensitive to. I don’t even really care about top line width, kind of even prefer a medium top line.

The list you did above on size is accurate, IMO, though I’d say being the biggest iron on that list is still not all that big. All of these are right in the range I like. I’d probably mesh best with the two in the middle — the PXG CB or King Tours. The Wilson Staff CBs I would place between the T100 and PXG, though closer to the T100. I like the look of the Wilson a lot too.

Ithe tour is like the i230 that’s hit the gym and is working out.  Lines are more sharp which helps it look smaller.

I don’t disagree is a bit smaller, but if the pings are a no go visually, I think the tour will be as well.

although some people just dont like pings 🙂

I really think the tour and the t200 might be the best iron releases this year.  Both packed a ton of tech and foregivness into an iron that plays much larger than it is

The Wilson Staff CBs are very compact throughout the entire set and are about half the size of the Ping i230s, the Cobra Tours are definitely more compact than the Ping i230s as has already been mentioned.

The staff cb and cobra cb are roughly the same size.  Both really sharp looking irons.

I continue to be stunned by how good these irons are. I'm guessing still honeymoon phase, but they are creeping into "favorite iron I've owned" territory.

Not for me. I get a sweet little baby fade with no effort through the whole set. I have to purposefully try to hit a draw with these
