Oh I don't know....maybe because that's what the Tour Players like and they have told Titleist repeatedly.   Don't change anything and eff them up, versus listening to the random comments on the internet.    Maybe just a wild guess 😉

tour players don’t have the small ferrules like retail so what you are saying doesn’t make any sense.

I haven’t paid any attention to the ferrules on the t100 line in the past but does look like they use small ones. Kind of bothers me too when companies release players irons with tiny ferrules or gold/silver rings on them when tour players never use those. Taylormade was famous for this in the past and their iron designer went to titleist years ago and is still there.

Finally someone with some common sense! Yes the Tour Irons from the Tour Van use the same normal size ferrule that all Vokey wedges come with. (retail and tour) The Retail Titleist irons several years ago started coming with these dinky baby ferrules for some unknown reason that look terrible even though Vokey wedges (your and retail) continued with the same standard 7/8” ferrule.

Thanks for the reasonable explanation.

I honestly didn't know the difference between the two as to me ferrules are not a big deal. I don't get into all the specialty (BBF and the like) models.  So I had no reason to notice the difference.   Maybe it does matter to the tour players, but I'm sure Titleist has their reasons for the difference, even though it seems to really get some in an uproar.

Really like them. But the in hand pics of 200 and 350 are much shinier and less matching than the marketing ones. They also look like the 200 is still a plastic back to me, it only looks steel in the marketing pics,  not in any of the real pics.

presume there is little reason to change except for the look, but the t100 is begging me.

That T150 is super interesting.  It being a blend in size between the T100-200 would fit a lot of people. Feel like it could be the perfect iron for the better recreational player and save you from going to the T200, which I haven’t been a fan of; I had the 2019 model and hated the feel of the long irons and the odd shape of the scoring irons.

anyone know if the lofts will be the same as T100s?

Thanks. Just looked that up.

From article:

This is a big one — like, actually bigger than the T100 — and it looks to be a direct replacement to the T100S, which offered stronger lofts and a more flexible face. Unlike the T100S (and as the numbered naming suggests), this is a true blend of the previous T100 and the T200 for golfers that want additional forgiveness and ball speed in a compact shape but also wanted something a little more confidence-inspiring at address than the current T100S.

In this case, I'm really glad I have the T100S and didn't wait.

Wonder if they also included the power slot (or whatever they call it) in the 8 - GW.

Some employee at my retailer - who may or may not be informed, said Titleist is going away from the T100 name for the next iteration.  He could be just talking out his rear...

Obviously it's hindsight now, but if this was at a big box retailer, it's example about 100 for me that the floor guy at a big box retailer knows far less than any Golfwrx'er...😂

They don’t look bigger from the pictures, but there’s not really a comparison right next to a T100. I really hope it’s not any bigger.

The guys at my local Edwin Watts have joked for years that I know more about what is coming out than they do. In the past, I have had to show them photos of what is being released before they even get to see it. Ha!

I would take this with a grain of salt. I’m not saying it’s not true, but some plug writing an online article who’s never seen them doesn’t make it true.

I don’t mind too much on the ferrules but I get where he is coming from. Years ago I was going to order the p730 irons and they had ferrules with a silver ring around them, kind of like game improvement irons. Pros had the standard ferrules on theirs which I’d rather have on a blade.

Is EST release still September-October or will these be out sooner?

Sooner. Retail fittings to begin in early to mid July and shipped probably by late July early august is the info I have.

I wouldn't mind if it's a tiny bit bigger, at least in longer irons; but i don't want to see a wider sole.

It makes sense that they would differentiate them. Too big of a difference between the t100/t100s and the t200 currently and not enough between the t100/t100s.

I see a T150 5-PW and T200 4 iron in my future.

Curious how far the undercut channel extends in the T150 set.
