Update to my original post on the 350s

There is a normal Saturday game at the dinky course I'm a member at.

We usually play 18 Stableford, 9 Shamble, 9 Scramble drawing teams for each.

I did not stretch properly for an extensive simulator session yesterday or the opening round today so early today I had some nerve pain in my lower back. Didn't really become a negative impact on the game until the last few holes of the first 18 but it severely limits my ability to really give an accurate impression of the irons distance wise because I couldn't fully swing at it for the majority of the 36 but here's why I have:

Forgiveness - did not have any significant misses left or right. Some shots I hit offline were straighter than I would have expected. Distance drop offs on mishits seemed to be pretty minimal.

The other aspect of forgiveness - sole width. Some of you will know what I'm talking about. This is the category of iron I've always gravitated towards. Strong lofted, plenty of tech and help, but not massive or ugly. I've always had trouble with trying irons that have too wide of a sole. I've never gotten along with any ping G series I've tried. I tried the T400 and it was never going to work. The only two wide soled irons I ever hit well were the Mizuno MP H4s (only the 2-6 could be described as wide) and the Srixon ZX4s. Sole is perfectly proportioned on the T350s.

Distance - From what I can gather they are in fact really long. Spin is low but not crazily so and there's plenty of launch.

Control - hit plenty of knock down and 3/4 wedges and short irons. Very easy to get a feel for and get the distances right.

Around the greens - if anyone likes to use PW / GW for bump and runs around the greens these seem to work just fine. Didn't find them too jumpy / none spinny

I know the feeling when you said you have some nerve pain in your lower back. I sometime wonder how much longer I will be able to keep playing without the possibility of surgery. Exercising does help along with taking muscle relaxers occasionally but I don't always stretch properly as my warm up routine is very limited. Playing the new T-350 has made the game a bit easier there is no getting around back issues or getting older. I don't play at the real expensive course as most of my courses locally as I keep my driving to maybe 30-40 minutes away as the drive will mess with my back as well. I agree with all that you said about the T-350's as they play every bit as good as they look. Enjoyed your comment and hope your able to enjoy golf for as long as possible as that is those are my plans

Anyone test new Cobra Tour,CB,MB vs any of these new T series?

I currently have Cobra Tours in the bag and tested against the T100/T150/T200. The T-series had more ball speed, increased height, and landing angle across the line for me. Ordered T100.

I have my King Tours bent two degrees weak and I was surprised the T100 had more ball speed. But I also partially attribute that increase in ball speed to the sole. By bending the Tours weak I added bounce which doesn’t work great for my swing. Felt like I could really hit through the ball with the T100.

This iteration of the T-series is really good. I didn’t think I’d even consider replacing the Tours with how good they’ve been.

The only real negative I have about this lineup is the loft stamping on the wedges. Who at Titleist thinks it’s a good idea?

Wedges all have the loft stamped on them plus you don’t see it at address so in time you won’t even notice it being there as I often wondered why but I’m over it

Does anyone feel that the GW is worth it? I feel like it would be great for

full shots or 3/4 but do you lose anything around the greens or when you have a longer bunker shots that you need to open the face?

For me, I like seeing the vokey 50 gap but I would think I lose some accuracy. I’m just torn. I almost feel like ordering it and testing both.

I’ve played both a set gw and 50 vokey and much prefer the set gw.  For me, 50 is mostly a 120- 100 yard club and I find the set gap to be easier to hit and more accurate for those full - 50% shots.  I rarely hit a 50 from bunkers (unless they are over 50 yards) or around the green as I use a 56 or 60 for those.

I do think the set gw is less versatile in bunker and around the green

I’ve done both. The set is definitely more forgiving for full shots if you miss hit.

How dare you present some kind of logic to this debate. I don’t want the turf to know that I’m hitting a 44 PW. I also don’t want my playing partners to know I’m hitting stronger lofts. I hit PW, that’s all you need to know.

Just tell them you got yours “tour spec’d two degrees weak”

Who cares if your playing partners know what your loft is. Does it bother you if they see you hit a 8 or 10.5* driver. Remember you still need to make the putt

It’s my favourite club, but I also use it around the green for any simple pitch and runs, sometimes off the toe to take the spin off. If you could buy a 54 I would , I also love that the lofts are marked, my issue would be that the pitching wedge should just have 46 on it, not PW also.

Okay enough with loft stuff, let’s get back to fittings and results. Also anyone buy two sets? Whatever you were between instead of combos, bought. After just a few hits last night at DSG I really think I could play T200. Just want to hit and see 9 PW AW

I was fit for a set of T300’s earlier this year and cancelled the order when I found out the new irons were just around the corner. I recently did a team titleist fitting (vs PGASS fitting) and was delighted the fitter said I was definitely a T200 player in the new models. I still ended up with a T350 for my 5 iron.

Good luck!

I have the T350 in 5-P and added
T200 7-8

T150 9-P

so far I haven’t put the combo makeup into play. Just some on course practice.

I have the tours and I feel that without bending the interaction is great. The only place the T has the tours beat for me is looks. I find the tours to feel better and preform the same. This T line is good but the cobra has em beat for me. Saved me some dough thankfully

Anyone test these against the new Apex Pro? Got to hit the Apex Pro the other day and it was awesome. Super solid, meaty thwack, great ball flight. Very curious to try against T100.

Really didn’t like the feel of any of the new irons.

But I did hit the 620 cbs and those felt night and day better. Felt more forgiving too than the t100’s.

Think they have two out of the four majors this year as well.

It’s a much better idea than stamping “10” & “11” on the bottom like Callaway is doing with the CB & MB

How did you find forgiveness between the Tours and T100, if you don’t mind me asking?

And I don’t suppose you’ve hit i230 too? 😄

I love hit all 3.

the tours and i230 are very similar in size, sound, feel, performance.  Almost  plays like a slim down game improvement iron.

the t100 is noticeably smaller and will have a significant drop off in forgiveness for most golfers.  I think it’s like blade that has help with launch and spin.

I’ve desperately tried to get fit into the i230 multiple times so I’ve hit it a bunch. That club doesn’t work for me due to the turf interaction. But it is the most forgiving of the three. Second would be the Tours then last the T100.
