No it’s a Newport two. I had one new back in 2008 and always regretted selling it.

So I finally went and paid for a lesson/fitting with a European tour putting coach. 

 

Best think I've done for my game tested around 12 putters but it was the lesson part the was a eye opener for myself. 

 

Ended up with a Evnroll EV2 at 36 inches with heavy weights and it's a thing of beauty.  So forgiving looking at my stats since and I've not missed a single putt under 4 foot.

After months of constantly switching out my gamer, after this mornings round I think I’ve decided to stick with my 35” Super Select Newport 2+ (swapped 15g weights into it) with the small matador grip. It feels so incredibly stable with the heavier weights in it. I felt like I couldn’t miss today. 

 

That is of course… until my jailbird arrives 😂

For 2023 my gamer is an old-school Zebra putter from eBay. Slapped a new Lamkin oversize cord grip on it, put an extra washer in it to give it some more weight, and it's good to go. This is absolutely the easiest putter to aim that I've ever used, and the extra weight makes it real easy to stroke.

I have 4 different putters I was using over the past 2 years, and all are different from each other:

Wilson 8802 (1990's version)

Ray Cook Classic Plus (anser copy with weights...heavier than traditional asner)

Bullseye Wide Flange

Ping A-Blade

 

The Ping A-Blade is the one that has stayed in my bag this season now.  

 

I also spend time most nights (when I can't sleep) in the basement putting with each putter to try to get the feel.  It's been the A-Blade that has gotten the ball into the cup or kept the ball pattern closest to the target.  My control and "feel" with the A-Blade is so instinctual that I'm finding it feels like an extension of my arm.  Not sure if it's the length, grip, or weight (or combination) that all works perfect for me.  It is all original (55 years old) and I'm too scared to change anything on it.  It could use a good cleaning to get the grime off, but I don't even want to do that in case I scrub the magic off.

Same putter I've been gaming for the past ~10 or so years: OG Odyssey White Hot Tour #1.

 

My putting has been better than ever this year too, this putter has been serving me well.

My gamer since I was 16 (28 now). Absolutely love it. Never been able to take it out of the bag

I've tried probably a dozen grips along the way, but the putter remains the same

The lie angle doesnt feel natural though.
