Adam has a mizzy pro fli hi as well. So he is testing a few. I have a fli hi and love it.

He's been messing with that a bunch in the last few years based on previous WITBs. Bear in mind many of the tour guys use either 1.5* or 1* sleeves though, so more subtle changes.

The newer versions also have less offset, whereas the U85 has big offset which we know Adam prefers, that'd be my guess as to the "why".

even the 8 iron seems a little in the toe.

Maybe it's the angle, but these don't have as much offset as the ones shown in March, where they designed them off of what he likes - ie more offset.

He uses Seamus headcovers (made from Pendleton wool). Reinland also makes headcovers that use Pendleton’s patterns. Have some from both companies, high quality stuff.

I have this same 7 wood. CG is definitely slightly toe side, in combination with heel strikes lose about 10 yards where a toe strike doesn’t lose any yardage.

its kinda interesting from him too. He didn't tinker that much during his career. Would play Ap2 once in a while but mainly Titleist MBs 3 to PW, 49*, 54*, 59*. Typically a 2 iron.

I just posted this in the equipment forum. Apparently it was tour only and peoples golf has them!

You can get the TR Blue 9X through any Fujikura dealer that can special order. They have been available since late summer.

 

Here are the specs:

Looks like from the time he was loading the car yesterday to today's practice round at Pebble he managed to switch from Ping Blueprint S irons to ZX7s 🤣
