I kind of find it hard to believe these will be the Fowler/Clark style 

 

theirs are 39” and 38.875” with the 17” SuperStroke (which is back ordered) with who knows what weights and loads of lead tape to get to 400g heads 

 

no way they are going to produce that spec putter 

 

this will be 35” standard weighing and stock odyssey grip

I have 6 Tank (retail) putters that are all that length, 38 inches or so.  With adjustable weighted heads, they could achieve it.

I find it VERY hard to believe this will be a new model. It’s going to be the old stock product brought back with a new headcover and grip

I doubt this will be a quick turnaround.  I bet it takes a month or so before they even ship, maybe longer.  The demand will be high unless they price them crazy.

That’s what I was thinking too. They’ll take pre-orders this week to strike while it’s hot but will have a release of August 1st or later.

Yeah, that’s my thought too.  Strike while the iron is hot and get the orders in the door now.    It’s nice they listened to everyone and are releasing it, most companies would’ve just ignored the noise and move on.

And they will sell like crazy.   WRX’ers won’t admit it.  But as somelme who works on course and does almost all our ordering.  Tour models sell.  Regardless if the specs are the same or not.

What'd they sell the special edition Jon Rahm putter for? I guarantee it'll go for the same. I'm guessing around $499 or something like that? I'll definitely pre-order one if and only if it also comes in the "Fowler Specs" with the long shaft, thicker/stiffer shaft, long grip, heavier head, etc. If they release just an off-the-shelf 35" standard Jailbird Versa then I'll probably pass.

Odyssey will do it right and offer this in Fowler, Clark or Bradley specs. Obviously, they won’t be able to use their names but no way would they just put a 35 inch shaft in it and say it’s the putter that won back to back weeks on tour (with one being a major).  They would get flamed and it wouldn’t sell.  Cally/Odyssey will do it right!

Yeah how do you know the head is 400 grams? I know it's covered in lead tape but adding 45 grams with tape is wild. That's A LOT of tape.

I think it has been quoted in many different t areas the putter was built up to 400g

Well, since it is the O-works that has interchangeable weights, I think they stock 2 x 15g(?) and I believe the heaviest I've seen is 35g each, so that would be net 40g.

Sort of funny that everyone basically wants an Odyssey "Tank" 9 years after they were pushing this idea pretty hard. They even had an actual tank at their 2014 PGA show booth.

But didn't they release the Rahm putter in only 34.5" length (when doesn't he use like 37"?)

I still have an old Works Versa Tank 1W 38" from back yonder when I feel like my stroke gets a little wonky.  It always seems to correct it.  The metal face insert has fallen off twice and I keep supergluing it back on.  I'll never get rid of it.

They let you special order your specs for that putter.  I got mine spec’d out to Rahm since I like a longer putter.
