If you use PayPal or a credit card, you are protected. 3 Trackman 4's for $1100? I don't really have a use for 1, let alone 3, but at that price, who cares. 🤣

As scams go that one’s pretty remarkable. That price is so far from the real thing I don’t know how anyone can even be tempted. I get why people fall for fake grips for example. But this one - yikes.

And if you found out the Trackman 4 cost $200 to manufacturer in China, it would totally make sense. The fact it sells for $20k is just market.

I'm strongly considering it. There isn't any risk other than a charge on my card for about a month. But again, I don't have a place to put one or any need for one. So what would I do if it was legit, resell it on here for $10k? 🤣

I mean, I guess that's why I'm in QA because I'm curious. What would I get? A Trackman 4 chassis with lower grade internals and bootleg software that's only in Chinese? A legit Trackman with no warranty because I bought it from an unauthorized dealer? A box of rocks? 

 

It's 100% genuine, right?

im guessing that u get a pair of sunglasses or something.  I have a buddy who is always looking for deals too good to be true and the last purchase was a scotty Cameron for $29 and he waited for 8 weeks before a pair of sunglasses arrived.

I got my lefty Scotty in like 3 weeks, but it was $60 or something. I had a coupon. 

 

<edit> I heard of someone else getting that, too. They ordered a set of tools or something and got some fake RayBans. 🤣

That's a solid plan. If they are legit, I can open a sim bar, otherwise I can open a mall kiosk selling fake RayBans. It's a win/win.

I mean you're going a little overboard under the guise of being 'curious', now. Just because QA is your dayjob doesnt make it ok to purchase from and support potential scammers and counter fit product makers. Just IMO I guess.

I have not supported any potential scammers or counterfeit product makers. I didn't post a link so that anyone else could, either. The one product that I did purchase that was counterfeit was refunded, so they still aren't supported. 

 

I thought the ad was funny and this is "Deal or no deal", correct? It's certainly a potential deal, but I'm going to say it likely isn't. But unless you buy it, you don't KNOW if it is or isn't, right? 🤣

No, there is no way it is a potential deal. None. Very best it’s stolen goods. 
 

Not all people that buy counterfeit and get refunds get that refund from the seller, I’m sure they hop from account to

account and the auction site or financial institutions lose on it.
