Nice. Interesting color, too. I"m too anal about our "fun" cars to take them out when it's raining.

That’s a wrap, the colour is actually malachite green

Quite a transformation. At least the wrap does protect the original paint. I have PPF on the hood, roof, and trunk lid of my E63s, but, still can't force myself to take it out in the rain.

Well done. Love that gen Soobies. I’m looking hard right now at 05/06/07 Legacy GT Wagons. If I find a clean one, it’ll follow me home.

yes. not a toy, not a weekender, but a lifetime of memories. the original owner of a 1993 Ford BRONCO XLT. maybe, maybe, driven 500 miles a year. that's been for so many years now I can't remember. but I still do one 10w-30 & FL-1A oil change in the garage every spring...

And it's ridiculous anyone would pay it for any of them, they are all AWFUL suv vehicles for any kind of comfort. Good for short trips in town or getting around the ranch. In the last 2 months FINALLY found the pre-owned suv "weekend toy" I've been looking for the Mrs. An only in Arizona garage kept '13 JGC Laredo 4x4 with only 45k miles on it, it's literally still like new. And a bazillion times more refined suv than my old BRONCO, and have no doubt that Jeep will get her thru anything out on her ski trips... and now she can stop taking my RAM.

I HAD one. I bought a 2000 Mustang GT early last year. On the way home, the rear end all but locked up on it, lol. I thought it was a transmission problem, so I pulled the trans and had it rebuilt. That led me to replace the clutch, which ended up with me pulling the engine. I eventually put cams in it, which led me to pulling the heads and having them cleaned up and new valves/springs. The manifold was leaking, so the entire intake system got replaced. It had junk long tubes on it when I bought it that I had to cut up to get out (before I pulled the engine), so I replaced the full exhaust in it with new headers, x pipe and catback. When I tried to push it out of the garage while it had no engine or transmission, it wouldn't roll (due to the rear end) so I pulled it and took it for a rebuild. Unfortunately, it appeared to have zero oil in it, and the rear end itself was chewed up, so I had to buy a new one of those as well. While that was all out, I replaced all of the suspension. At the same time, I pulled the front seats and had them re-covered, and removed the rear seat. My wife was thrilled to have a shell of a mustang on jack stands in the driveway for a few weeks, as you can well imagine. I eventually replaced the carpet and headliner, built a rear seat delete that I covered in black carpet to match the rest, replaced the radio, steering wheel, some dash pieces, door trim. Before I put the engine back in, I ended up replacing the timing chains and guides, oil pump, cleaned out the oil pickup tube, new throttle body and intake manifold, injectors, all of the sensors in the engine bay got replaced, put it all back together and tuned it. With the refreshed engine and 3.73 rear, it ran great, but the AC went out. The shop told me I needed a full system replaced to the tune of around $3k. I bought a compressor and some Freon at Oreilly for around $300, replaced it myself, and it is still blowing cold air. Basically by the time it was all said and done, everything on the car that could be replaced except for the hood, bumpers and trunk lid had been replaced or rebuilt. I did have to fill some holes in the trunk lid and spray painted it will as closely matching red as I could find, lol. It was one of those things that looked "good from afar, but far from good". All told, not including the cost of the car itself, I was into it for about $20k in parts, and I did all of the labor (except transmission and rear end rebuilds).

Shortly after I got it on the road and got it running ,we sold our house and moved to an apartment. That was fine, until it developed a parasitic drain on the battery that I couldn't find. Since I had nowhere to work on the car, I decided to cut my losses and sold it to my brother-in-law for what I paid for the car. I can still drive it if I really wanted to, and I see it at the family gatherings. It is a love hate relationship with that car. I bought it for a project, but not that in-depth of a project. Had I known I was going to have to rebuild the entire car and replace everything on it, I would have passed for sure. Though I will say I learned a lot about that gen mustang, and might get another one in the future (I've had 6 mustangs, and that was my 3rd in that gen).

The only decent pictures I have are from when I listed it for sale. The Ram next to it was my daily at that point. I sold the car, traded the Ram and got a 2016 GT Performance Pack. After a bad bout with Gout and a 5 hour drive, I got rid of the mustang for another truck, lol. Apparently, I have a sickness when it comes to vehicles. I'm 43 and I think I've had close to 20.

One of these days, when we finally decide to buy another house, I plan to have a project car. Until then, it's a DD only for me.
