Imagine getting your underwear in a bunch because the putter didn’t win a major. If a dumb club name is going to get you this worked up wait until you see what the different drivers are called.

I remember when Cameron used to win the most majors too.  Hopefully they can overtake Odyssey at some point.

The guys with his stuff in a wad is just a sour troll who loves to take the opposite side just so they can argue. Just ignore him..

This is a goofy take. Pretty sure Scotty has probably won close to 75% of the majors over the past decade. Odyssey has just had a nice little run.

Anyone that argues that this putter is better than a lot of the OTR offerings as of late should not be taken seriously.

It’s called champions choice.  That’s what you call a major winning putter.  These have zero majors.

They are going to base it on the lineage of the original newport/newport2 which has tons of them. Whether you like it or not that's the story they're going to tell.

This is like the third or more time you are mentioning this minute that no one here cared about seeing it once and each subsequent time. You have a problem with this line then email the Don or goto the studio and voice your strong views on how this release doesn't have a major winner linked to it and shouldn't be in production.

It’s all good brother.  Didn’t buy one.  Enjoy.  Gaming an Odyssey now.  Can’t believe it

Champion of your local putting green...not major champions. Duh.

Managed to get one from my proshop. I was gaming the Super Select NP2+ and it is basically the same putter which I have come to love with an insert. Played with it today and very happy with it. Solid feel and abit higher pitched than the medium milling on the Super Select.

It's amazing how people will talk on the internet vs in person. It's perfectly ok to say the new release isn't for you while still being happy for those that are excited about it.

Imagine having a similar conversation when your coworker tells you about the new 2023 Silverado he bought. He comes into work all excited wanting to share his news and your response is "Silverados are way overpriced. Ford Rangers are a way better buy right now."

Can't we all voice our opinions and still be happy for anyone else whose excited about their new gear? It's just golf...

I have read this whole thread because I'm a long SC user. Don't collect and don't flip. Roll em and make a lot of putts with em. Not a fan of inserts so no interest in the CC putter to buy. I hope Scotty never retires and continues to make the best putters (for me) available. Enjoy the Limited Edition putters guys, a SC blade putter really is magical or it wouldn't be in my bag all these years.

For those who have received their CCs, what are your thoughts on quality?
I ordered one for myself and my father and both have concerning issues..

One has a face insert that is not flush on the toe. This may be fixed with tightening of the screw on the back but I currently do not have the correct HEX head to do so.

The other one had bubbled silicon around the insert which caused me to immediately pull all the silicon out and re-caulk it. (first time doing this personally but was not hard at all)

Also, both sticks came very dirt and one even had a nick on the heel.. And dont get me started on the paint fill...it's all over the place.

Additionally, I have never owned a copper insert putter before so maybe I am being picky but the insert is also showing some less than appealing blemishes.

Lastly, I am not concerned about this as I plan to game it but the headcovers all came in smooshed and creased like no ones business.

I would not like this on an OTR SC but for a $600-$700 "limited release" this is kind of sad.

Maybe I’m in the minority here, but mine came in almost perfect condition. I may do some re-inspection later this evening again to see if anything is off, but didn’t notice anything that stood out during my first couple of inspections. Only thing I notice is the copper insert does appear to be somewhat blemished looking, but doesn’t really bother me. I’m assuming this is normal appearance for the copper insert (I’ve never had a copper insert putter to compare). Headcover was fine too.

I did order through my local shop/retail chain. I know (pretty sure) they do their own quality checks at both the warehouse and onsite before they release them to their customers. If you ordered online, you may have gotten these directly shipped from Titleist or from a major retail chain warehouse (in which case who knows how well their quality checks are if any before they ship out). Your putters could have also taken some abuse during travel (depending where you live). I also live on the west coast, so less travel from Titleist facility in Carlsbad vs other places in the country and world. Good thing is my shop has a 30-day return policy and a 60-day play and try policy (can only use once a year).

Mine also came in fantastic shape. I've never owned a SC blade before and snagged a 2.5+. I'm way more impressed than I expected to be. It's not as soft as my Monoblock, but it rolls really well and seems to be very consistent...time will tell. Fwiw, this is the first putter I've owned that I felt I could get "hot" with.

My 1.5 arrived today (UK stock) and it’s going straight in the bag. Flippers will hate this club- still widely available here. Sole plate, insert and button circles nothing glaring. Paint fill on the face is a bit sloppy but I won’t lose any sleep over it. I have an old Tei3 Newport and the face will absolutely not stay pristine… nature of the beast I’m afraid. As for the headcover, I personally hate the velcro so will continue using a magnetic one. The biggest issue of all is I keep hitting it left on the putting simulator! Can’t fully blame the stick for that!

No issues here.

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Can you reach out to Titleist? That is unacceptable for a putter regardless of price.

Very true. Unfortunately on the internet, the loudest losers are usually just jealous or insecure.

I'd be very upset if it had all the issues you're describing for sure. Maybe reach out to Titliest directly and see if they can remedy it?

Mine came in perfect no issues. I don't get it, that sounds terrible and you definitely should have taken pics and reached out to customer support? Why would you go and re-caulk it??

I got two (wasn't sure how hard they would be to find and what the premium would be, turns out not much if you had to pay the $799 that some shops marked up to) since I wasn't sure if I wanted a 33" or 34" (both Newport 1.5+). Decided to keep the 34" and so the 33" is up on the classifieds here.

Both of my inserts looked great. The 34" has a small imperfection (in certain lights) on the face milling (not on the insert though). Nothing worse than will be on there after one round though so NBD since I plan to game it. The 33" looks perfect all around.
