You would think but I guess he did go 6x. I’m getting ready to get a 6tx tipped 1 so I’m curious to see what my results may be.

I hope you get along with white board shafts because the the handle for the VF is softer than the Ventus Black.

I do. Currently play the Kai’li white and almost grabbed a PD. I haven’t driven it better since putting the white back in but the more I read I had to try it. I gamed the OG black 6x/7x and tr black 6x but some reason I just didn’t get along with it in the driver. The og black in the 8x/10tx in my DI I love but driver I hate.

In that case I think you'll like the VF.  It will probably come down to dispersion and ball speed for you as the VF feels miles smoother than either Kai'li Whiite or PD.

I love the way the 1K TPO and VF feel.  Very similar EI profiles as well.  VF seems a touch more stable/anti-left however.

Think you are right on.

Had some fun on a trackman earlier today….VF is definitely a bit more stable and holds up really well…..and I gave it everything I could in some speed training.

Kai’li white 60TX. I would be surprised if I keep the VF and shouldn’t try it since I’m happy with it but the more I read the thread the more I needed to see what everyone was talking about.

I could never get along with Kai’li

Phizz, would you say DF or PD for an more apples to apples comparison

PD is closer to what you’d find in the rebar section of Home Depot lol.

Closer to DF imo, but DF being stiffer. DF at least has some feel.

Similar in terms of launch/spin.  PD feels like rebar.  DF has a little bit of feel.

Have gamed the HZRDUS Smoke Green “OG Hulk” for a few years.  I’m not too well versed in been profiles.  How does this shaft compare to that?

Hulk has a stiff handle if I remember right.  PX's version of the Ventus Black, IMO.  VF is softer.  A little bit of unloading under the handle where I couldn't feel much of any thing with Hulk in terms of kick.  VF launches a hair higher.  Spin is a wash.

been enjoying the 1k pro white for how soft and fast(fastest ball speeds) it feels especially after coming from a ventus black. But, the Vf 6tx 1tip might be perfection for the current tsr head i'm gaming for confidence and performance. can't wait to see everyones results

If I try another shaft after the VF in my tsr3 head it would be the 1k pro white

highly recommend it for the tsr2/3/4. It's nice to have a shaft that feels easy to load. Unlike, ventus and kaili which are great/super stable/premium, but i always had to worry about loading them. Watching gordon sargents swing on repeat also helped a lot making that decision

getting off topic but i'd like to add nicolai hojjgard as well. seems as though they're reaching insane ball speeds with 1k. but, tigers in vf so there must be something special in that shaft as well.

Why not go with the 6TX?  I know you and I are similar ball speeds from our previous convos.

Understand there are more ways to determine shaft flexes and bend profiles not to mention how the shaft is loaded by the individual but for what it’s worth the CPM’s for the VF6TX is 283, VBlack 6X is 282, and the VBlack TR 6X is 288.

Got a 7x tipped 1/2” which CPM’s at 278 before tipping and it feels like a smoothed out VBlue TR. Tight powerful kick to it which reminds me of 7TX Tensei 1K White but much tighter dispersion.

For what it’s worth my SS is around 113 which is on the slower side.

Either Rasmus or Nicolai Hojgaard have the 1K PW in their driver and fairways.  Both are 190+ ball speed.  The really long guys seem to love it.  It's a lot easier to load than a PD, 1K Black or Kai'li and feels softer overall.  Positives is that I saw blistering ball speeds and it has some feel, however it was prone to the lefts.

CPM is a good point.  I did mention earlier that the VF is very similar to the TR Blue but way smoother which is another good point.  Not sure I agree with it being like the 1K PW in terms of kick(feel is subjective), but it's way more stable for sure.  I'm sure we'll see a huge surge in sales though after this weekend, lol.

Any comparisons to the UB? I play a 6tx in UB. It’s great but I’m looking to take out the left a little more. I’m thinking a VF 6x and I’ll loft up to offset the launch

For me the VF spins considerably lower and launches lower as well. I do think the VF takes away some of the left as the profile is stiffer, especially in the handle portion. The UB was one of my favorite GD shafts, but I might like the VF just a little bit better after using it for a few months.

How stiff is the VF tip compared to the Tour AD TP or Ventus TR Blue in the real world and not just by what the charts say?

I played both TP and TR Blue in 6 Stiff untipped.

TR Blue felt better (smoother) but could also get away from me at times if I really went after it.

TP felt a bit firmer at impact and more hollow feeling if that makes sense.

SS is between 105-107 with a smooth transition and not much lag (more like Sticker than Sergio) so I have typically had more success with a Stiff flex tipped rather than an X.

I’d put it closer to the Ventus blue from my experience.

But I also found the opposite to be true on the Ventus Blue vs TP…..I thought the TP was pretty loose and a noticeable kick.  The Ventus blue smoother and more linear….like the VF….just another case that feel is subjective to us all.
