Yes, I should but feel wise I'm always between flexes and prefer R or SR as long as it's not too loose.

The wife would prefer that I pick one and sell the other.  However, she didn't give me the usual stink eye or tell me that one of them has to go sooooooo.........I will be keeping both for now.

I'm gonna say that the TR black will be back in the bag by April, and new releases will enter the fray before the end of summer 2024. I'd say 1 or 2 new releases at least (there's bound to be some).

Did he switch to the VF recently?  That guy doesn't switch very often but then he's been struggling mightily this year.

I decided to switch things up and put the TR Black back the bag last weekend.  Ball doesn't curve much which had me thinking about keeping it in the bag.  Drives was a nice 5-10 yard draw with a couple of baby fades and my misses were blocks which is way more playable than my typical duck hook.  This should be a no brainer but something about the way the VF feels makes me waffle, lol.

Indeed.  Thing is, the VF is nothing like the DI.  However, it's a typical whiteboard in EI profile and feel which he usually likes for driver.

Can't be?! There is no blue on the GT unless he has a special color scheme going, which would be very cool.  I'm not surprised to see Tiger with the VF, given the colors and his closeness with JT.

How can you all feel these to this level? I always feel butt stiffness and I know it's spinning too much based on tip, but phizzy and valtiel and avid and getitdaily remind me of sommeliers

Also, maybe not related, but chalk one up for assumptions when I saw valtiels swing in the search for 190 thread. Figured this very knowledgeable fellow was in his 40s or 50s based on his depth and breadth of knowledge and how he responds to posters, rather than what looks to be a fast as sh** late 20s early 30s. When I did lunch recess today I had to explain to a girl why I was refreshing this, and it turns out 7th grade girls don't care to much about shaft deflection. Or golf. Or ballspeed.

For me, it's where you can feel the shaft unload/bend during the downswing.  For blueboard profile shafts, I can feel it unloading where the tip and mid section meet.  Whiteboard type shafts feel very linear with a slight unloading sensation towards the handle.

Best way to describe the VF is that it's a tweener between the TR Blue and TR Black.  Not quite as stout and linear as the TR Black but has less kick compared to the TR Blue.  Not quite as anti-left/stable as the TR Black, but holds up better compared to the TR Blue.  I literally have to miss way out on the toe to hook the VF.  TR Blue can be a hook machine if there's too much face closure or if it's anywhere near the toe for me.  Launch/spin wise it's closer to the TR Blue where it's mid-low launch/low spin.  TR Blue seems to really favor a smoother swing where the VF can take both moderate and aggressive move into the ball.  VF really shines in the feel department as it's smoother than the TR Blue, IMO.

Very similar.  If anything, you could see maybe 1* lower launch with the VF.

And flex plays similar?  I know GD shafts typically feel a little soft to flex for a lot.

Glad you didn't dig up my swing
