What’s your favorite two piece ball??

The 50 might be the best two piece ball ever. I played a couple for a few rounds earlier this year and if I didn’t have a 3yr stash of Duo Pro I’d stock on the 50 as my permanent ball

As far as I can tell, it does everything a golf ball is supposed to do, and at a very good price.  Distance is good and it seems to hold greens fine, though I can't say anything about spin because I don't play well enough to use spin.  Several times today it stopped within a foot or two of its pitch mark, and the greens weren't that soft.

If you have a chance try the W/S Zip. It's just as soft as the 50. Unfortuately, it only comes in white.
There is a You Tube channel called "Mistah Short Hitter" and he has tested them both. He also gave data for each ball (the Zip has a little bit better spin numbers). It's a good channel for golfers with slower swing speeds (his ss 85)so the data he posts is more relatable to all us slow swing players.

A relative new golfer here. So I started with the cheapest ball I could find in good supply near me, and bought a few boxes of Slazenger V300 Soft balls (£22 for 48 at the time). Started by loosing loads, but over time I've got down to between 1-3 per round.

Not quite 'Rocks', but not exactly 'Soft'. No reliable info on compression to be found on the net (90?).

On occasion though, I have managed to get them to spin back a couple of feet on the green. But that is more dependant on making a rare good swing/contact.

The best thing about the V300 is, being 45p per ball, I spend almost no time searching for them in the long stuff.

Just take the penalty, drop and carry on.

The other thing was, the V300 is the first ball I played with consistently, instead of using the random assortment of founds I've amassed.

That was a valuable step on the learning curve in itself.

Now I've stopped losing balls by the dozen, I've stocked up on 2021 Super Softs & Srixon AD333's for the next phase of the golf journey.

You can feel the 'SpinSkin, with SeRM' with the Srixons. It feels so much more tacky/grippy than other balls I've tried so far.

I prefer the higher compression AD333's (72) to the 2021 SuperSofts (38), which I can hardly feel off the putter. Very springy.

I think the Supersofts may be used as a Winter ball.

They're both definitely better than the V300, but improving technique will be more of a boon to my lowering scores then a better ball will.

I will use the V300s to practice and learn new courses with, as I've still got 70+ to use up!

Either that, or give them away to another beginner golfer.

I think 2-peice balls will serve me well for a while yet.

Onwards, ever pin-wards!

Yeah, I've had that suggested before.  I do play a white ball when the leaves start to fall, so might see if I can find some zips at some point.  I have some maxfli softfli to get through first.  Thanks.

Supersoft is a good recommendation. The main reason I go 2 piece surlyns is cost and it's hard to beat the cut red, and of course the ball that is nearly synonymous with the category- Noodle. However I've tried a lot and the main difference I can find is feel. Lately I've been playing with a wilson tour velocity, the accuracy version, and it's been a nice midpoint of good spin/descent angle, soft but not too soft, and distance.

I looved the Laddie, was my go to....but the 50 Elite is so underrated

There is a YouTube channel called MistahShortHitter that takes the time to review equipment and balls that the average slow swinging golfer uses. I played the 50 Elites for years before I could find any data i.e. spin numbers, launch angle, etc. I just knew it worked well for my swing. Then, I stumbled across his channel and he had a review of the 50 and the Zip complete with data. After seeing his videos with all the data, I could see why they worked so well. The spin numbers for a 50 yard shot, compared to a Titelist ProV1  were better than I expected for a low compression 2 piece ball. I think he also reviewed the Laddie so, if you're curious you can check out his channel.
Many of the channels that review golf balls seem to dismiss or ignore the 2 piece balls that so many average golfers play, is why I like MistaShortHitter's channel so much.
