See lots of different woods, but if someone on the LPGA is using a hybrid it's almost always a Ping. Says something about those for sure.

I would like to know the loft setting. I have a 40 yards gap between my 5 wood and 4 hybrid.

Ping irons?  F Grinds on lob wedges?  Check it out.  She hit the T200 5 iron on 16 today.  Guess this site is wrong.  Ko can play those hybrids!

Well its been 3 months and compared to her past shes been playing poorly. Looks like she made some recent changes.

Would be interested to see your numbers with those two clubs, because a gap like that suggests at least one of them is not well fit.

 

To produce a gap of that scale, you could be in the territory of having a low spin, bombing 5 wood and a high spin, ballooning 4 hybrid.

 

I play 5 wood and 4 hybrid with no clubs between them. Even with 5* loft difference (18* vs 23*) plus the difference in shaft length, the 5 wood is, on average, 17 metres longer carry and 19 metres longer total distance. Those numbers are averages from multiple GC3 sessions.

 

You might want to get those two sticks on a reliable monitor and get to the bottom of what’s causing a 40-yard gap.

IMO there is possibility for an acceptable large gap in that area of the bag depending on your style of play and your distances. I go from that 4 iron spot and then into 5 wood as well with a 25yd gap between them on purpose.

You're probably right and to each their own. The inference I was getting from the post was the player wasn't happy with a 40-yard gap.

How would you be able to get the U505 5 iron?  I figure it’s tour only, but is there a custom shop or anything like that at Titleist you can call?
