What putter did you buy twice? (aka what putter do you regret selling?

We already have the what putter did you buy section and now we want to know what putter did you buy, sell, regret selling, and buy again?

 

After bagging it for a year I sold my Scotty Cameron Special Select 2.5 with a midsize bulked up blue Iomic pistol grip. 
 

I sold it bc I felt like I had too many putters and that was one I knew I could sell at a decent price haha. Now I’m thinking about buying the same putter and grip all over again. Anyone on here buy the same putter more than once?

I’m so guilty of this. I’ve tried to make a SeeMore FGP work for me 4 times and have had at least 5 Rossie variants. I’m sure there are some others that are slipping my mind. I have always had to sell clubs to buy clubs though so I am a criminal reoffender.

I’ve bought a Spider X 4 separate times and a Phantom X 5.5 at least 6 different times. I keep thinking the grass is greener on the other side but always end up coming back to one of those two.

EVNROLL ER5. Loved the way it looked, felt and rolled in the store.  Could not make it work on the course.  This the grooves and low loft didn't work for my stroke.  Sold it after a few months.  About a year later ran across a great deal, so gave it another try.  Needless to say it won't happen a third time.

I recently did a head to head for a few weeks for the first time and the Spider X is rolling it too well. I get a better roll of the face after impact with the Spider. I shot some slow motion footage and it was almost night and day between the two.

Well, technically I didn’t sell it. It was stolen. A Cameron Scottydale. Since then I’ve bought and sold many variations of a longneck anser/anser2 putter. Currently I play a Bastian milled longneck, and I have another Detour mod getting a long neck added now.

Reassuring to hear your struggles with the phantom x 5.5 as well.  I switched in late spring this year to the phantom x 5.5 thinking it would roll the same as my spider x only to have the worst putting summer in the last 3 years.  For some reason the phantom x just seemed to be dead off the face for me.  Thankfully I kept my old spider x and am back to gaming it.  I also realized after switching back to the spider that although they're both slant necks, the scotty is around a full shaft of offset and the spider is around 1/2 shaft so maybe that plays into it.

I then sold it when it misbehaved.

Having my first real set of golf clubs stolen in 2007, Golfsmith Square Toe blades with Apollo stepless steel shafts, is what set me on a path of being obsessed with golf clubs ever since. I didn’t even really know who Golfsmith was and never researched clubs online until I started looking online to try to find that exact Square Toe set and saw I could buy components and build my own clubs! Several self built sets and eBay cycles later I’ve been happy with my MP18 SC’s for about 5 years. Still searching for the right putter though!

I’ve never owned a 5.5 bc whenever I try them in the store they don’t feel quite right to me. But I like slant necks and whenever I see a pro (JYK) rolling that 5.5 on TV I’m like, I gotta get one of those! Then I go try it out and I’m like mmm maybe not.

That's what drove me into buying one too.  I thought I'd like the milled face better than the spider insert but it has to be something with the way the aluminum is installed where it just didnt feel the same as even a normal fully milled blade putter

I've a bought a Pro Platinum Newport Mid Slant 3 different times and I've considered a 4th on a number of different occasions.

 

If anyone has one in good condition for a reasonable price DM me lol
