Cam Young - New Titleist blade model in the bag?

Wish Titleist would bring back the custom grind option on the blades. I would mind a set of 620’s with a little more bounce and wider sole.

They look so clean! I have really had to resist swapping out the CB's for the MB's. The sole grind on the CB's help me, as well as being a touch more forgiving. Good job they look sweet too.

 

I have swapped out the T200 4 utility for a T150 though, looks and feels so much better.

My T150's are still looking spotless - broken ribs, sore hand and the weather every weekend been atrocious has been a terrible spell after getting them.

Yeah. What the heck was it with this year? Where I am in the northeast, seemed like half the weekends were rained out. Not just sprinkles or some light drizzle (don't mind that at all - golf is, after all, and outdoor sport), but I'm talkin' Alexa-NWS-flash-flood-warning-notification levels of serious. Sometimes overblown, so I decided to risk the forecast one Saturday, got to about 14, and got hit by a torrential downpour. Playing in slightly lousy weather is part of golfing, but trying to putt through standing water on a green where the ball kicks up a rooster tail ain't golf, its just torture. 

 

2023 was a pretty irritating golf season.

They haven't released a new model in the blade/cb for awhile now. They generally look a bit different. These look to be just the 620 mb's with some grinding or something done to make them unique for Cam Smith, Cam isn't good enough for a completely new prototype in his name.

So what all can you do to update a traditional blade? They arnt about aggressive lines and milling. They are doing it right. Large titleist in the middle. Clean and simple.

Has nothing to do with being good enough. If a player has special requests then it's up to the sponsor to accommodate for the name of the brand. I'm pretty sure he was the first to have a blacked out set.

Pretty safe to say Titleist knows they aren't replacing their mb line anytime soon and have been giving custom irons starting with their more well known players.

I hear you! These past two months, every Friday I have thought, here we go, time for some golf this weekend. Every weekend I have been stuck indoors. Praying that this weekend I will finally be able to break my duck.

Always tempted to buy a set of the 620s but I know on my bad swinging days that they'd just be no fun to try and fight through with.

It was worth it for me. I’ve pined over the 620 MBs for a long time. A deal came up and I knew I would regret it if I didn’t pull trigger. For me they are as much an art piece as a golf club.

I would also probably put these straight in the bag, an MB with the T100 sole and a little less offset than the T100 would be unreal in the short irons

Yup.  If you believe the shot tracers on tv he launches the ball incredibly low.

I wouldn’t mind the offset. The Webb Simpson and Adam Scott MB’s have been my favorite of the one offs so far, 681/680 shape with a little bit of offset to them.
