Mizuno Pro 241 Masters Limited Edition

Always knew the Japanese market gets some wildly cool stuff, but these might take the cake for me. Holy moly these are clean, down to the azaleas on the DG shaft band.

They've done it in the past, seems they must have some licensing deal with the masters that comes and goes.

Appears so. I extremely doubt Mizuno would do that without having a license to. Nice find on the old Mizuno irons.

I had a set of the Limited Edition all Copper MP18 Blades but after 6 months I decided to move them along to a collector that 

displayed them in his office. I was tempted to play them but never even hit them. 😞

So many heathens in this thread who'd leave them in the box. I'd have them out on the course day one. Some people would buy a supercar just to look at it in the garage :p I'd probably pull the shafts and set them up to my liking as well. Just seeing that unique finish in the bag and at address would be good times. 

 

Given that they don't go for any more than the P7TWs and will no doubt be far rarer I don't think I'd find the price too hard to justify. Weird that they're JP only given how easily they'd sell out in other regions as well.

That comparison doesn’t really make sense. You can drive a super car and it looks the same after. One swing of these and half that green will be gone. I bought a set purely to display. As for why it’s Japan only it’s because thats where their licensing deal exists and they can’t sell them outside of Japan. People always missed the most obvious aspects of things like this

A car is a tool just like a golf club is a tool, both can only be fully experienced if put to use. That's how it is for me anyway. I get there are people who buy things like this just to be ornamental but I will never be one of them. Pointless to me to have something so marvelous that will never be anything but eye candy. Leno has an absolutely obscene car collection but drives even the rarest of vehicles he owns. I'd assume he's like I am, knows we only get one life, and it's the experiences making it up that make much of it up. 

 

I'm also free to find it strange that AN wouldn't license them to do a broader deal while still keeping them a limited run. The people who really want them will find a way to get them, so limiting the sales market is unnecessary.

Idk if anyone caught this, at the PGA show going on rn a few people posted to IG showing the Mizuno Pro 241 irons being showcased in green, but without the Masters logo as above. They seem to be called the "azalea edition", with the same shaft band, and grips but different ferrules, also white paint fill rather than yellow. https://www.instagram.com/p/C2fHP9pumkR/

Yeah looks like the differences are no masters etching on the clubhead, different ferrule, different paint fill, S400 instead of S200 shaft, regular box instead of masters box.

the blue ones were around $2200. 
 

id like to get them but so steep for a finish that may wear 75% away

I was wondering about the box, I figured it would be a regular mizuno box though.
