Anyone else impressed with the S159 Ping Wedge ?

Have had mine out for a few rounds now, and safe to say, they are staying in the bag.  Grinds are exactly what I was looking for, LOVE my 58B.  MAYBE, could have gone 54/12 instead of the 10 but nothing to say it's that different.  Super happy, I traded my Vokeys in and haven't looked back.

Curious about this as well. Currently using s200s and I noticed the ping shafts are 115g roughly

50 - px lz 6.5

54 - S400 TI

Pings have the KBS Tour 120.  I am finding this is a great wedge shaft for me for whatever reason.  Have them in some RTX6 wedges also and get great results there, too.

Both are fine, I just feel dispersion and overall control is far better with the KBS for me.  I can't explain why, it just works.

Haven't had a chance to hit them yet and they look nice, but the can Victor Hovland get any stiffer as a spokesman?

It’s been a while since I tried the LBK but the b feels like it has a little more heel relief and I’m a lot more comfortable opening it up a little. Also felt like the LBK had a sharper leading edge although they both sit pretty tight to the turf. So far I am really liking the B grind and the LBK didn’t last very long for me.

I recently put these in the bag 50 54 58s.  They play like Vokeys and have crazy good spin.  Love them.

Update on S159's. These have been amazing on TM. Carry numbers hit my target distances spot on 50 - 125 / 54 - 112 / 58 - 100 

Launch angle on all of them are sub 28. Spin is crazy in a good way. Put DG X100 TI shafts in these and couldn't be happier coming from KBS 610 125 wedge shafts and S-Taper 130X's (Gamers in Irons). Looking forward to getting them outside once all the snow melts and courses open here in MN.

 

Absolute sleeper for wedges this season and love how square these sit and the shape of them is perfect to my eye.

I ordered them in the middle of February, and got them about a week later, I am on PING Staff so I ordered them through our rep.

Ping fitting online tool. Plus just a understanding of what bounce typically works best for me and this one is a good blend of ability to pend the face while still having bounce to help because I have a steep angle of attack and take big divots.

I got the H in a 54 & 58. I did the no no and just bought stock ones and reshafted them. If I have problems so be it. Really like them. Good fit if you like to open the face and are steep. The Ping online fitting tool is actually quite good.

I ordered 50S from Golf Galaxy in Midnight w/Project X LZ shaft and custom lie on 3/2 and received it on 3/8.

Ordered custom chrome 56H from GolfDiscount.com on 3/11. Called a couple weeks ago, they called Ping while on the phone w/me and said it would ship today (4/5). Just called GolfDiscount and the rep called Ping and was told the clubhead is on backorder - expected late April/early May.

Another round today in the books with these wedges and I am still really impressed.  I have the H grind in my 54 and that thing is awesome on full shots AND for chips around the greens.  The other really cool thing about these is the midnight finish.  Super durable.  Had 3 or 4 shots out of the sand today and not a mark on them.  Knock on wood but I haven't chunked a wedge yet!!  LOL   Best wedges I have played in a long time.
