Titleist usually starts next month.

Is that the new ball or the previous version?

The new version per Morton Golf website. Smart of Callaway to offer it right now with the new lineup.

Not a good move for Titleist not offering the full discount.

Until Titleist actually puts out their deal for the spring nobody is 100% certain if it's not a 4 for 3 as in years past. It's possbile that Hayward golf sells Pro-V1's for $60/dozen vs $55/dozen other places do.

The deal is out, here is the #s from my local club

Total price for four dozen Pro V1, Pro V1x, Pro V1x Left Dash:

Stock: $54.99/dozen
Total price for four dozen AVX:
($149.97)
Stock: $49.99/dozen
Additional $15 personalization fee and $8 shipping fee per order.

This promotion will end on March 29, or while supplies last. Limit of one order per golfer.

Stupid sidebar question. How much does a ball really change year over year. Can the CS from 2024 really be noticeably different than the 2022 model? I see people often concerned about this years vs. last years model of ball so I figured I'd ask as its something Ive never paid attention to when purchasing balls.

I would say most of the time the difference is minimal, however this years Callaway balls are completely different options.

So it's the normal B3G1 deal Titleist generally run every year. Guess some don't realize that not every golf shop charges the same dozen price.

It is indeed live now on Callaway's site.  I ordered 8 dozen Chrome Tours.  After 15% military discount and another $39 in Rewards Points I'm out the door at $258.  That equates to $2.68 per ball which is a screaming deal for premium balls.  I'm moving from TP5's which I played for the past 3-4 seasons.  Chrome Tour is giving me more performance on my SkyTrak so looking forward to see how they do this season.

I had tested the chrome tours and was all set to go for 4 doz but at a fitting this week I hit the CTX and really liked it and the numbers. Now I'm in a pickle.

(This message is as much to me, as it is to you) go with what the fitting said and play the same thing all year. 🍻

Totally agree with you on this but my dilemma is that we weren't really doing a golf ball fitting - it was a driver fitting and we were using (what I thought was my golf ball for the year) the CT. Then we had some extra time so we were messing around with the new vokeys, and I was hitting them real well, but somehow during the change to wedges the CT got swapped out for a CTX and I was loving the flight of the wedges. What to do?!?

What differences did you notice between the two?

I don't really have a good comparison because I only hit CT with the driver and I believe only CTX with the wedges. We were just sorta messing around hitting other stuff after the driver fit, and the golf balls just got mixed up, and I didn't realize it til I was about to leave.

I will say that with the CTX, I saw my spin numbers kick up a bit and a little bit more of a penetrating flighted wedge from what I was expecting based on playing the CT the past couple weeks.

Sounds good.  I need more spin on my irons so I'm going CTX this year I think, first year gaming a Callaway ball.

Side note: what driver did you get fit into?

I think you're right on the money if you're looking for additional spin! I went into the smoke triple diamond head at 10.5* with the diamana WB 73X. Was a killer combo for me.

Not quite the same.  Titleist is charging for the personalization this year.  Have to say I am debating whether to look at some other options just out of spite.

If I still played Titleist balls I think it's better that you don't have to personalize them. A person shouldn't have to get the balls personalized or have a custon number to get the 4 for 3 deal. Last time I did the Titleist 4 for 3 my personalization was simply the letter X.
