Best Golf Socks?

Darn Tough Socks or Swiftwick. I give the edge to Darn Tough. They are based out of Vermont and replace their socks for any reason. I have yet to wear a pair out.

Kentwool has the cushioning for walking 18. Swiftwick is thin compression sock, no cushion. I like them more for workouts.

Both Darn Tough and Smartwool PhD are great socks, they're pretty much the only ones I wear. The Darn Tough guarantee is great, my puppy chewed a hole in one and they still sent me a replacement pair.

There's a few different good brands out there, I like the Nike Dri Fit the most. However, 5 or 6 years ago Nike made a Dri Fit sock that is still by far the best sock I've ever worn for golf. I have a couple of pairs left. They were super thin, basically like panty hoes material. Not sure why they stopped making them that way, now they are quite thicker.

After the age of 60, I started having trouble with my feet. I decided I would splurge on some more expensive socks and do a side-by-side comparison. After reading this forum, I bought two pair each of the Kentwool and Swiftwick. Both really helped with comfort and fatigue, but I had a hard time forking over $15-20 per pair. My brother-in-law happened to mention to me socks made out of bamboo.....Ecosox. My wife bought the calf length and I bought the quarter socks. They can be had online for about $4.00/pair with a coupon and free shipping(do a google search). I have to say they were more comfortable than either the Kentwool or the Swiftwick, and certainly more affordable. They appear to hold up better after washing than the others and I now wear them for everyday use. The other thing I like is that they don't have that washed out look that "white" wool socks have and they don't have that shrinking look after the first wash.

Big fan of the Thorlos and the FootJoys. But if you need a thicker sock or maximum padding, the Thorlo tennis style is where you want to go. If you have a pair of shoes that are just a little too big, the Thorlos will fill the gap.

Switfwick has taken over my sock drawer over the years. I love the Aspire #4 size. I love them for golf but they are a must for cycling. My feet need them after a few hours on the bike.

Darn Tough and Smartwool are the only socks that I'll buy other than dress socks.

My first pairs of Darn Tough No Show Lights lasted an entire rotation of Ironman training. After that I was sold. Anything that retains shape and cushion after taking the beating I threw at them for 5 months are top notch. I burned through bike tires, shoes, everything....couldn't wear out those darn tough socks tho.

+1 on the kentwools and swiftwick. Best socks money can buy. If you get the kentwools though you may have Togo up a half size on your shoes. Swift wicks on the other ad are as thin as paper.

After two years of evaluation we have a winner. (Most of the socks listed on this thread have been evaluated.)
My feet have declared the DRYMAX socks to be a winner.
All socks when washed and dried were never subjected to softeners. (As specified by most of the manufacturers)

My current favorites are Swiftwick and Lululemon. I walk nearly every round and wear Ecco Biom Hybrids with these socks. YMMV.
