Nice - that’s a crazy score! What repairs did you need done? My bag is exactly alike it sounds like, though my rain hood from Mackenzie looks like it’s from the 90s with different leather.

I ordered one on sunday, should be here Thursday. They must be over runs from a outting or something because they have a few in stock.

Thanks...was wondering what logo.  Thought Club Champion or version of 2nd Swing logo.  Nice, it is inside the pocket and probably could do a little operation with a thread cutter to remove if it really bugged you.

Club Champion will disassemble the bag and then rebuild it to precise bag weight with logo removed for a small fee.

Looks like they still have almost this exact bag on their site for $1000. For 40% off and the logo to be hidden in a pocket not much to complain about

Bag came today. Brand new in the original Mackenzie packaging! High quality as expected, excited to get out with it! 
 

I also had waxed canvas bag on order that showed up that was ordered through Standard H in collaboration with Mackenzie, and again the bag exceeded my expectations. 
 

Will be a tough choice to decide which bag to use on any given day! The 2nd swing deal was too good to give up as was the standard h!

Both look great...but the leather Mac, you will never find a deal like that on a basically new leather.  Heck...people want 900 on ebay for 20 year old ones they find in their grandfather's basement. Its a score for sure.  Enjoy them both.

Does anyone have pics of a well-loved white canvas Mac? Curious how much patina is to be expected. 
I’ve been trying to design a custom one for months, but have a serious case of paralysis by analysis. That white and green Peter Jacobsen shop special looks really slick, but also considering a green waxed canvas with tan leather like ACL and fyfe have done. Mybag looks very similar to that green one but it's nylon.

Whats the logo like on the inside pocket of the 2nd Swing leather.  Does it look like the leather patch it is on can be removed easily.

Hmmm that’s what I thought. Looks like it’s on that removable leather patch. Is that green or black in the pocket. Either way the logo is very innocuous especially after you throw a bunch of stuff in there. Thanks for the pic.

actually recently got fitted at club champion for irons and wedges so inside logo wouldn’t bother me at all. Hopefully leather quality is top notch.

For anybody ordering the 2nd swing/club champion bag, the darker leather is green; not black. Hard to see in the photos. 
 

Either way, it looks great!

Received mine today. Ordered Friday so delivery took 4 days but technically 3 days only because FedEx missed me yesterday and apparently signature at delivery was required. (Guessing because of $$$). First time ordering from 2nd Swing but overall great/east process. Highly recommended!

 

Overall impression…

 

Leather quality is TOP NOTCH. It’s thick and very soft leather. Not those synthetic leather you find on other golf bags (I have titleist linkmaster and although their quality is good, it’s nothing compared to MacKenzie).

 

Club champion logo is tucked away. Honestly curious why they designed it this way initially. Doesn’t make sense from marketing stand point. I obviously don’t care and prefer it this way. Don’t even think it needs to be removed. 

 

Product is essentially brand new. Mine didn’t come in the original MacKenzie packaging but not a single scratch or any sign of use including the base.

 

Hoping to put it to use this weekend but concerned how bag will hold up in cold/damp condition. I primarily play early morning so will see how leather holds with early morning moisture. 

 

Is it expensive? Absolutely but with tax, mine came out to be little under $650. By far most i ever paid for a golf bag but honestly, i feel this was such a good bargain given the quality of leather alone. Time will tell how it holds but i can’t wait to get this out on the course. If you’re on the fence about ordering, I would absolutely go for it.

Saw that but look at the base condition. Not sure how this is considered ‘mint’ condition. For $100 less, i don’t feel it’s worth it. Having someone else’s logo makes it worse.

Can anyone speak to the leather version a bit more? I love myself some patina to the leather but does the bag need cleaned and conditioned like any other leather product for longevity?
